No...1980 (give or take a year or so).

Prior to 1980, they used (like all NFL teams did) custom inks in order to match to fabrics and equipment. Once Pantone values became the standard around 1980, they chose PANTONE 151 C to represent their "Florida Orange". This was a "close" match to their original color (in reality, closer to 1495 C, which didn't exist in the Pantone library in 1980), but not exact.

The Bucs are now utilizing 151 C which is what they used from circa 1980 through 1996.
