It looks like the Cards recognize their window is now, and are making all the right moves to win the Superbowl. Say they accomplish that this year and win it all...What do you think the future of the team will be in 2017? Do you think Arians, Moore, Pratt, et al, will stick around and keep coaching? How many vets on the team will consider retiring or bailing out?

Just curious...To win it all now, would be awesome, make no mistake...I just don't want to see the cards go through a D'backs type of decade after.

I would expect Arians to stick around but I could very much see Pratt and Moore call it a career even if we don't win it all next season.

I also wonder if a championship would make Goodwin and Bettcher realistic head coaching candidates elsewhere.

arians and keim would def stick around...

larry would retire
mathis would retire
palmer would retire
freeny would retire ( if he resigns)

Arians and keim would go after another qb in FA or trade. i.e. stafford/flacco/cutler and try it all over again.

It always seems when a team wins the Super Bowl, they lose the luster they had. AZ has had a great 3 year run. The team is insync and them seem to all love each other and the coach. I am always worried if they ever do won the big game, they lose that connection they have. That's what I worry about.

I'll take that chance for a Cardinals SB win.

pretty sure if we win this year Larry and Carson would both go at least one more...try and pull an Elway on their way out.

I'm more worried about winning it than what happens if we do win it.

Exactly !!!!

Would some Players/Coaches weigh " Leave At The Top Of Your Game " , human nature say YES ? Could the Domino Effect apply , human nature says YES ?
I'm with Osbern61 , let us focus on winning it , and let the aftermath chips fall as they may .

To be honest, I don't think we have a window. With the way our front office operates it seems to me they are building not just for today but for tomorrow as well. I realize replacing Palmer will be the biggest challenge but I have great confidence SK will be able to do it quickly and efficiently

This was sent from my cell pjone so please excise any typeos or other errors.

I think very highly of Carson Palmer , but I would prefer to attempt to replace Carson , than to try to replace BA .

I agree with you but I don't see ba going anywhere. I think he's got this coaching thing figured out to the point where it's a sweet gig for him now. I wouldn't be surprised if he coaches for another 10 to 15 years.

Top of my wish list for veteran replacement would be Matt Stafford, his contract runs through the 2017 season. He'd be lights out in BA's offensive scheme.

Andrew Luck should be coming available around then as well.

I always thought it would be funny to put the needle to BA and make him promise that if the Cardinals win the Super Bowl, he has to do Hard Knocks the following year. As much as BA hates Hard Knocks, it could end up being just the right move to throw a monkey wrench into the whole Super Bowl hangover thing and render it a non-issue.

I think fans need to brace themselves for BA leaving sooner than you think. It's not his style to fade away. Like the Def Leppard song. In true rock star fashion, when BA goes, he's going in a blaze. Either health issues. Or he might just decide tomorrow that he's had his fill and that's it. Either way, it's going to be quick and sudden and it's going to catch alot of people off guard when it happens.

The good thing about what Keim has done is to put us in a good position to be competitive for an extended period. It's why he's not blowing the bank signing every free agent to stupid deals right now. We're successful without being in cap hell in the future, which is rare and terrific. And most of the talent on the team is still quite young, which bodes well for the future.
Palmer, Fitz, and Campbell are past 30, but we still have a solid core,

Peterson, Mathieu, Bucannon, Jones, Golden, Minter, DJ, Floyd, Smokey, Ellington, Fells, Nicklas, Humphries, and Catanzaro are all early to mid 20's in age.
