I ran into him last night after the game at a gas station in Scottsdale. We were the only two in the place. I was buying a pack of smokes and he was buying some gum. He was really nice. Asked him if he watched the game and he was like " oh yeah". Said he lives here in the offseason.

Short conversation and I told him I liked watchin him play and to keep up the good work. I know I have bagged on him a few times especially around the time he came out of college but I do like him and even a little bit moreso now having talked to him in person.

Just though I would share and get off the suspension topics for a while.

Are you an ASU fan?
I ran in to Lute Olsen here at work and he was nice too. He said HI to me before I got a chance to greet him. Felt weird since I have hated U of A for so long. I have always respected Lute though.

I have no real allegiance to either school. I tend to root more for ASU since I live here in the valley but I will also root for U of A also. I contemplated attending both schools out of high school to swim for but chose neither.

I guess if I really had to say in U of A vs ASU games I root for ASU almost 100% of the time but I don't get into all the smack talk rivalry stuff.

I'm looking for ASU to field a good football team this year. I agree, I don't like the smack talk rivalry stuff from from either school.

I expect the ASU - UofA rivalry to start picking up. ASU has done a great job at recruiting for basketball and may finally become competative.

Being that I'm not from here, I tend to root for both teams; but living in Phoenix I really would like ASU to become better.

BTW, I think Frye is far better suited to playing Suns basketball than whatever it is that the Knicks play.

I think I had debates with Chaplin on this back around the time we were gearing up for the draft and I take back everything I said about Frye, and not because I met him. I compared him to Loren Woods on more than one occasion which wasn't a fair comparison.

Having watched Frye with the Knicks now I disagree with what I said. I would love to see him in a Suns uni.

he's a Uof Gay Scumcat:D

I love The Devils and despise the Mildcats but.....They got NOTHING to do with The Suns.....He would be better than Mario Bennett. Eddie House, the best Sun devil to play for the SUNS....

Of course you like and respect him. I don't care if you are a Sun Devil fan or a Wildcat fan, you must respect the players and the program in Tucson.

Did you see Mario Bennett play at ASU before he tore an ACL there? I do believe he would have been one of the best young talents as a big man athletically to come out of ASU or anywhere before the injury. Of course I don't think he properly had his mind on basketball when the Suns drafted him. Believe me, he had tremendous talent before the injury and was never the same afterwards.
