I don't think he's going to ask for "rediculous" money. The Chargers cut him for two reasons: 1) they didn't want to pay him $3M next season 2) He's not suitable as a feature back anymore.I would assume the reason he was released was because he wants to much money, if hte chargers arent willign to give rediculous money to old LT then why would anybody else...Hes going to have to give in and play for a small contract.
LT will go somewhere he's able to be the GL and/or 3rd down guy--that is, somewhere with another RB that's going to be able to take the bulk of the carries.
SD already has their 3rd down back in Sproles, and I don't think the Chargers want him to be "the man." So, they found themselves with two of the same pieces. Kudos to the organization for releasing LT2 early and not holding him hostage through FA and the draft as insurance in case they don't get the guy they want to replace him. No matter what you think of LT as a player today or over his career, he's meant a lot to the Chargers and I think he earned that bit of respect they showed him.
