I know its only preseason. But some observations:

Paul and Billups look very good on the court together. Chauncy is going to get alot of open threes this year. DeAndre Jordan is a monster with Paul running the point. Griffin is already there. That teams is dynamic and balanced.

This years Clippers team reminds me a lot of the 03/04 and 04-05 Suns.

Billups and Paul in the backcourt is going to be hard to beat not to mention Griffin. Their starting lineup is so talented.

The frightening think is he made this dunk with ease. DeAndre Jordan has scary good talent and he is only 23. If he ever learns to use all his talent... watch out. I'm thinking the Clippers are the new Lakers.

Nah, I'm just not seeing it. The Clippers lack the two things that have long made the Lakers special - arrogance and a sense of entitlement.:)

I think Blake Griffin is on his way to get there. ;)

Its too bad they don't have a SG. Billups at the 2 isn't going to work long term and Im sure its not long before he starts to moan about not being the starting PG. Maybe mid season once things shake out a bit and we see what teams are going somewhere and which aren't the Clips can pick somebody up. They don't need much, just a guy who can nail open 3's after defenses collapse on Jordan and Griffin.

Man that block on Kobe was nasty. Lol at the announcers claiming a hard foul, it looked like all ball to me.

Actually, the (my) announcers thought it was a great block. Ralph Lawler loved it. I'm pretty sure we got an "Oh Me, Oh My!" out of him.

I don't think that will happen. He is smart enough to know when he has a good thing going. I think it is going to work well.

BTW, Chris Paul is a much better fit with this group than he would have been with the Lakers.
