Those two games last night were fantastic and it's really just sad that the referee made that horrible Offsides call and stole a chance for North Carolina and a few more minutes of excitement for everybody watching. I would understand if a player was slightly offsides and he missed it, but you better make damn sure they are offsides if you are going to throw that flag.
Side note: had ESPN on in the background most of the day yesterday and all anybody could talk about was whether or not the face masking call was a bad call. I haven't taken another look at it, but I believe the play just before that was down the sideline around the 25 yard line where it looks to me like a clear-cut PI that wasn't called. The network officiating consultant said it was a good no call because the guy looked back for the ball, but he flat out ran over the receiver who was coming back for the ball. I was just surprised there was not one mention of that. Had that PI been called it would have given Green Bay a really great chance to win the game without doing anything other thing kicking the field goal from there.
Seems like this should be a really good playoff/bowl season.
