People always see things like this and state the obvious.

Don’t drink and drive.

Problem is when people drink they lose their ability to make logical decisions.

Truth is alcohol kills 3x as many people each year as guns do.

This message was brought to you by the hard working employees of Anheuser Bush.

He did everything we say players should do. He drank to much to drive and called an UBER...and another drunk hits them, when pulled on the side of the road.

Just crazy and sad.

RIP. He was actually a Cardinal for a short time during the 2015 preseason.

Not sure if twitter is trolling but apparently the dude who hit him had been deported 3 times?

RIP

Too soon to politicize this tragedy
Normally I agree Jon, but if one side immediately talks about gun control as soon as there is a mass shooting, then the other side has every right to bring up immigration reform at times like this. It has to be allowed both ways, no matter your position.

I just wish all of these things could end up on productive talks and changes, rather than divisive hate and distrust of the opposition.

Political rant over...

There is a forum for politics and this is not it.

I think someone who even mentions/tries to talk about it should be up for a ban from the mods, at least for a week or two.

Why? It is part of the story whether you like it or not.

NFL player did the right thing. That should be highlighted. Nice to see someone who goes out and has fun then gets a ride home.

NFL Player unfortunately lost his life because he was hit by a drunk driver that is in America illegally. If he wasn't here then Edwin Jackson would be alive. All part of the story. A sad story.

Ban away then stick your head in the sand.

If you can't handle discussing the fact that this man who killed two people was possibly here in the country illegally, then don't join the discussion. If discussing facts makes you uncomfortable then you should evaluate why that is. I am not here to make a political statement, just to say that facts are not political statements - they are just facts.
