or....Luck could just inform Indy he does not want to be there....take their money if they push it...then start tossing 2 or 3 picks a game......they will trade him.

He was doing that this year :D

Essentially if Luck told Indy I don't want to be here it puts lots of pressure on them to do something. Luck doesn't strike me as a kid who's going to do that to get more money, so if he did that he would really mean it and then the Colts would consider can we get enough in a trade or 2 first round picks to make it worth our while to let him go. The answer is probably no, but they might consider it.

Teams understand the QB is the key guy on the offense, it's hard to lead a team when they all know you don't want to be there. note, I don't think that's the case now, but it could be if the Colts don't fix some things, and that includes Luck fixing some of HIS issues.

An aside, do people get that on the play immediately after he got hurt, he got up and threw a TD pass? he then played the rest of the game against arguably the best defense in the NFL and took an absolute beating leading his team to the win.

Pretty remarkable given he had a lacerated kidney, an abdominal tear, and still has the shoulder injury and alleged rib injuries.

They ought to let him sit the rest of the year to get healthy.

Did you read the article or any of the other posts in this thread? Not one person has suggested that the Colts would cut Luck. The article questioned whether Luck would try to force his way out, and the posts have mostly been recognizing that the Colts would do everything in their power to keep him, and would be able to do so for at least 2-3 more years.

I agree, if he wants out, the most realistic year he could actually push the issue would be in 2018. The only way the Colts trade him is if their season tanks from here and they can get a treasure-trove of #1's to rebuild faster (including nabbing a QB from the college ranks that could offset Luck's production immediately...)

I am going to stop typing now because that isn't going to happen.

Knowing what I know now about BA, we wont be drafting a QB to take over for Palmer. I am praying the Luck is overatted narrative keeps going and somehow someway he finds himself back with BA.

Pipe dream at beast but dreaming is free.

Much more likely IMO? Matt Stafford. In fact I see us trading a first and a third for him this offseason. Let him sit and back up Palmer for a year and voila we have our new QB. Who in playing for a QB whisperer will return to 2013 form.

Ok, but you'd better do it fast...before he comes apart. He's already damaged and it could get worse. FWIW, I like Stafford a lot.

EDIT: I wouldn't go a first and a third...maybe a 2nd and a 3rd.
