OT: Coming up on 10 years in being a part of this board

In May of 2002 I moved from that other board (can't remember the name) and made this my new home for all things Cardinals. Now, 10 years later next month, I would like to thank all of you for helping me bleed red despite being states away from my favorite sports team. Things can be frustrating at times, and like anything, this board has both it's high and it's low moments. But, in general, this board has given me an outlet for Cardinal talk that I wouldn't have otherwise (Also tickets for a certain NFC championship game, thanks DeAnna).

In short, thanks to you all.

I just passed the 9 year mark on March 14. Does not seem that long. Guess that would be considered a good thing. Kind of like a good marriage, the years go by fast.

Yep, remember the big schism with AZProsports, and all that excitement at the time. This site was and is the best resource for local sports info. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

i think 100% cardsfan referred me here from official board back in 04 or so. was someone with 100% in their name. Thankful for the referral though, the main board was horrid.

It is hard to believe, I must say. I just passed ten years on another board of mine back in March, and it's weird to think this board and that were established at almost the exact same time. Looking back, ten years ago, I hadn't even attended my first Cardinals game. It's hard to believe that after all of that time, I've still logged in here nearly every day.

I know I don't post as much as a lot of you, but it's great to see the best fans in the world together in one spot. Maybe one of these days I'll hit 1k.

I came here at the same time but 9/11 and the subsequent mood of the board sent me into lurker status and I didn't officially join when everyone moved over here. I had been hit and miss on Mike O's Rivals board for the Suns from the time he started there but it wasn't until he showed up on the (Arizona Republic/AOL) Cards Corner and issued an invite to his football board that I started making daily trips to the forum that preceded this one.

That 'other' site was still up a couple of years ago, though it was dead...I was curious. That exodus surpassed Moses.

I joined in September 2002. I think earthsci referred me here. I was posting on the Republic's site. Man, it was horrible.

Wow. Almost 10 years. In that time, we got a new stadium, I moved here and got season tickets and we went to the Super Bowl. Wow. Pretty awesome.

Didn't NEM make it to this site also? I remember, as if it were yesterday, all his complaining about our meager FA acquisitions and comparing them to all the over-the-hill guys that New England was signing. I just don't remember which board that was on, I guess it could have been Bob Chebat's forum. Everyone gave him a hard time (well, actually, he earned that "hard time") although it turned out he was right after all.

This site is better than any other way to get sports info. If its leaked out somehow, someone posts it here.

I learn more by reading everyone's completely different point of views, and opinions. It really keeps you open minded.

Love this place. Azprosports, I don't even remember how I found it.

I wish I knew when I started. It was whenever the site started because we all moved over from the old board where I started in 1999. I worked with Chris Sanders back then and he turned me on to the original board. In Jan 2003 my account was corrupted and Jim had to reset me so my registration forever shows 2003.
