Not the first to stick with it or the first to get away from it I am sure. until such time as he is caught spraying a 5 year olds birthday party with an uzi I will just give him the benefit of the doubt on that one....there are folks out there who think my oldest son is a banger...smh,..whatever.

Do you know something that the LAPD and Jackson's AD and counselors don't know? Please share if you do.

Yes. As was said, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and swims like a duck. Out of the 2 of us, which one of us has more experience in dealing with gang members. I'll go with my 8 years of training and researching this culture every day of the week. As I keep saying, you don't cut a top 3 player at his position for nothing.

Not that I even cared about the "gang ties", I was making a joke... however:

http://www.csnbayarea.com/raiders/s...-gang-ties-49ers-raiders?p=ya5nbcs&ocid=yahoo

The San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders both reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department to confirm reports of DeSean Jackson's continued involvement with alleged members of Los Angeles street gangs; LAPD confirmed the reports, CSNBayArea.com has learned.

So, maybe the LAPD knows something you don't know.

Hmm am I gonna believe a random "source" who thinks they know what the LAPD is doing or am I going to belive LAPD themselves...tough one but I think I will pick LAPD themselves lol.

Or you could trust the photos of him hanging out with gang members... or his tattoos... or the gang signs he flashes.

And you should read your own article big guy. All they said in the one you linked is that he didnt was not involved in any homicides. So... huzzah, he has not killed anyone.

The actual quote from your own link, which I am sure you did not read, you just looked at the headline.

"When people grow up in neighborhoods where you have gang involvement, you don't have to look too far before you find a connection to a connection," he said.
"Now, how sinister that connection is, our position is that's for others to judge."

So, yes, the LAPD does think Jackson has gang connections, its just a question of if they're "sinister" connections.

I don't even need to make an argument against this, Richard Sherman who I'm sure y'all love around here already made the argument for me.

Did you bother to read this one before you linked it? This is not going to be saying the LAPD says Jackson has no gang connections only to link an article where the LAPD says Jackson has gang connections... right?

The argument you were making is that Jackson has no gang ties and it was "racial profiling to insinuate" he was.

Jackson isn't in any type of gang, way to racially profile though....

Richard Sherman does NOT make that argument for you.

http://mmqb.si.com/2014/04/02/richard-sherman-desean-jackson/?eref=sihp

I’m not going to tell you that DeSean Jackson isn’t in a gang, because I can’t say unequivocally that he isn’t. I can’t tell you whether his friends have done the things police have accused them of doing, because I wasn’t there. I can’t tell you what DeSean does with his time, because we play football on opposite ends of the country.
What Richard Sherman does say is that you cannot tell someone to run from their past and those who supported them growing up (even if those people may or may not be in a "gang").

Again... this is NOT the argument you were trying to make. Yes, Sherman is supportive of Jackson and has empathy for his background and does not think people should to judge him, but makes no effort to dispute that Jackson has gang affiliations. That is quite different from your claim.

So... I dont know if you once again did not read the source material or you just forgot the point you were trying to make.

By the way, nice effort to really get a dig in on us Cardinal fans with that "sure y'all love Sherman around here" line.

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
my 2 cents...

I think a lot of people including myself have a past. I have friends who are gang affiliated, some bangers, my bf growing up since age 3 at 13 decided to join a gang. Hell even my dad knew some guy who he played basketball w who once told him he would off anyone if ever needed for 1k.. Now is my dad a hitman??? I'm not in a gang, do have friends that are and I would be pissed if my job fired me over that.

Then again I don't throw gang signs at my customers or co-workers.

Sherman is an idealist who went to Harvard because he can run fast. I know he provided a big sound bite but he has the credentials of a football player.

If he thinks people don't judge others on how they look and the company they keep then he is kidding himself.

I agree that it doesn't make it right, but it is reality none the less.

People have been fired over tattoos for years.

Again, not saying it is right, just saying that has been the reality.

Thus, yes, while it would be wrong to fired you based on assumptions, it could definitely happen.

How so? Two teams have now agreed to pay him that.

Not saying someone won't pay him 10 million. And look who paid him, consider the source.

I am saying that the Eagles don't think he is worth 10 million, which I assumed you would link the Eagles to the response since you noted Eagles specifically in your question, thus why I was vague.

I happen to agree with the Eagles, regardless of who the man hangs out with, what he wears, and whether he is black, white, tan, green, purple, fuisha, or pink and yellow poka-dots.

As I said, Mike Wallace part II.

JMHO.

I'm guessing Kelly figures he can plug younger cheaper guys into his system with little drop off. Plus he won't have to deal with Jackson who he has clashed with last season.
