Anybody heard about this? Supposedly there is a video tape out there that is worse than the Ray Rice video. I just read that it's supposed to be released to the public tomorrow and the Bryant camp can't squash it.

Mike Florio said he's heard about it and it's the reason he has not been signed long term by the Cowgirls.

First I've heard about it.

I heard Florio talking about it which I thought was reckless reporting without proof. It will be interesting to see what comes of it.

Rumors Surfacing that There is a Video Out There of Dez Bryant Doing Something Really Bad

http://thebiglead.com/2015/02/22/ru...ere-of-dez-bryant-doing-something-really-bad/

On Friday, ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio went on 105.3 The Fan to discuss “a video of Dez Bryant.” In this alleged “video,” Dez Bryant does something “bad.” Per Florio, “all of the major insiders” have known about this video for months, but, for now, it remains out of the public eye.

Why would Jerry Jones be so hesitant to re-sign one of, if not the best Wide Receiver in the world? There’s the chance that this is just another one of those “something out of nothing” off-season story lines. Dez Bryant, though, is set to become a free agent (and probably get franchise tagged), after the two sides have failed to agree on an extension.

In his interview, Florio alludes to the fact that the Cowboys are terrified of this “incident,” — and if released to the public, it would have a “Ray Rice-type of an impact.”

How weird is it that people are talking so much about a video that may or may not even exist.

I'm struggling to remember the last NFL "off field issue" that had smoke but no fire.

Reports here in Dallas say there is a bidding war between TMZ & Dez's peeps to purchase the video. I'll be shocked if Bryant is outbid if it is indeed bad news for him given he's up for big $$$ as we speak.

if TMZ wants it, I'd have a hard time thinking Dez could outbid a corporation.

Depends on how it is...we'll see either 2day or tommorrow from what I heard on the radio here. I'd luv to see him & his loud mouth get popped.

I saw Bryant's response to it and basically he did not deny the video and then went on the whole "I'm not ashamed of anything I have done in the past because they made me who I am today" and another winner in "I might as well do a interview of my last five years because the whole world is destined to know"... I love the potential of this Buck and the entertainment value, Dallas dealing with a new act in their circus under Jerry's Big Top :grabs:

If there actually is a video that is five times worse than Ray Rice's, that is quite an interesting thing to say.

The Cowboys board is hilarious. They are all defending Dez already and they dont even know what is on the tape. lol

Just for comparison,,, I love Larry, he is my favorite athlete of all time. However, if someone told me there was a Tape that was 5x WORSE than the Ray Rice tape, I would wait to come to his defense until I saw the tape. lol Sorry Larry

According to the article, they say the incident happened in 2011. Can they really jam someone up for something that happened nearly 4 years ago? And if so, how far back can they go?

Nobody has even seen this video and you got some guys mouth watering at the thought of Dez Bryant getting in trouble. Your life must suck.

And if it did happen 4-5 years ago no you can't suspend him or really punish him, lets have some common sense here. I mean then what's the limit? Come on now

If it's proven to be true, why not? Is there a statute of limitations on assault?

A statute of limitation is a law which forbids prosecutors from charging someone with a crime that was committed more than a specified number of years ago. The general purpose of statutes of limitation is to make sure convictions occur only upon evidence (physical or eyewitness) that has not deteriorated with time. After the period of the statute has run, the criminal is essentially free. Statutes of limitation generally require the criminal to remain in the state, gainfully employed and visible, seeming to necessitate that the criminal remain "catchable." If the authorities fail to discover a criminal living in the open within a specified amount of time, society has determined that at that point the criminal should be able to live free from the possibility of prosecution. It appears that this notion is born out of a sense of mercy more than pragmatics: if the criminal is a fugitive, out of the state in which the crime was committed or otherwise living in hiding, this tolls, or suspends, the statute. (Once the criminal reenters the state the statute resumes running.) However, if the criminal were living an open, public, so-called "reformed" life, after a reasonable period of time he is allowed to be free from capture. Not all crimes are governed by statutes of limitation. Murder, for example, has none. Sex offenses with minors, crimes of violence, kidnapping, arson, and forgery have no statutes of limitation in a number of states. In Arizona and California crimes involving public money or public records have no statutes of limitation. While in Colorado, treason has none. Many states have adopted systems that classify felonies by category. Therefore, in order to effectively compare statutes of limitation provisions, it is necessary to determine which crimes in that state fit into particular classes. For example, Missouri lists murder or Class A felonies as crimes with no statutes of limitation. Each crime must then be looked up in that state's statutes to determine its classification. - See more at: http://criminal.findlaw.com/crimina...utes-of-limitations.html#sthash.3JRRu8VG.dpuf

TEXAS Crim. Proc. §12.01; 12.02; 12.05 Murder, manslaughter, and certain sexual assaults: none; thefts involving fiduciaries or officials forgery, sexual assault, indecency with a child: 10 yrs.; misapplication of fiduciary property: 7 yrs.; other theft, burglary, robbery, and certain sexual assaults: 5 yrs.; arson: 7 yrs.; others: 3 yrs. 2 yrs. This whole thing is absolutely absurd and reeks of an inside job in Jerruh World to try and drive Dez's contract price down. There is no other reason fathomable that this is just coming to light. This sort of thing just does NOT happen in these types of criminal investigations. Wal Mart turns over tapes immediately.
