Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Sheldon Brown has asked to be traded.

Brown has four years remaining on his contract, and the Eagles have indicated that they will not renegotiate his deal.

After dealing with a similar situation with Lito Sheppard, it is considered unlikely that the Eagles will deal Brown at this time.

"I feel like it has been a total lack of respect," Brown told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio on Monday.

sound familiar?

No one in the NFL will renegotiate Brown's contract with 4 years remaining. So asking for a trade is ridiculous. We can empathize with the Eagles because we have players who are trying to do a similar thing (see Dockett and Boldin)

Boldin part Deux...he started clamoring with 4 yrs. (closer to five) if you consider he has been asking since last season left as well...

The word "disrespected" is being redefined in the NFL to include anything other than total capitulation.

Disrespected has been used and abused for years. Thugs use it to try and get away with beatings and murder and whatever else.

If anybody has been disrespectin' someone in all this, it is Brown for disrespectin' himself by signing that contract.
