OT: Eric Winston is the New President of the NFLPA

The election was conducted today at a meeting of the 32 player representatives. Domonique Foxworth, the previous president, was not eligible to run for re-election because he is no longer an active player.

Winston is a free agent offensive tackle who played last season for the Cardinals after previously playing for the Chiefs and Texans.

I wonder if this is viewed as a pro, a con or is neutral to an NFL front office? May serve as a distraction depending on the responsibilities and how much of the goings on occupies locker room talk or maybe it is a non issue.

Additionally, Lorenzo Alexander (Arizona Cardinals), Ryan Clark (Free Agent), Zak DeOssie (New York Giants), Jay Feely (Arizona Cardinals), Mark Herzlich (New York Giants), Adam Vinatieri (Indianapolis Colts) and Scott Wells (St. Louis Rams) have been elected to the NFLPA Executive Committee by the Board of Representatives during the annual meetings in Orlando.
