Pure speculation on my part but someone called Jeff Gollin out for always talking in circles and never committing to anything so he got bitter and left. Its an odd twist of fate because back in the day Gollin ran off Lee Shappell by calling him a hack/ ******* or some such.

CardDan had some beef with s.a.f.e. at the stadium so he swore off the Cards. I went to his tailgate once just so I could see his painted face in person.

That's all the gossip I got for now.......well, I shouldn't admit this, but I got perma-banned once for some nasty comments about Graves. Skkorp got mad at me and I was gone. About six months later I remembered I had created 2 screen names due to a glich in the system. I've been using this screen name ever since..... Please don't ban me again, I've kept my nose clean for the most part, mainly because I don't know jack squat about the game. 3-4, 4-3, cover two, slip screen, Tampa 2 etc... Its mostly Greek to me…... I'm just a fan of the Cardinals and have been since 1964.

You should never get perma-banned for bad mouthing Graves. As a matter of fact, the owners of this site need to create a special commemorative medal for posters who go to great lengths to criticize that clown.

I already knew about CardDan's situation. Found it odd that he went from one extreme to the other: painted face, cheerleader in the stands; to going completely sub rosa. Total 180.

Of the guys that don't post anymore, I miss JeffGollin the most. Very insightful old school guy.

I've only really posted here for about 7 years, so I don't know too many of the old schoolers, and only hear about them when others reminisce, like right now.

Was NEM ever on this board? All the banned/unbanned activity with him over on the old azprosports.com board was what led Skkorp to create this site.

Wish Jeff Gollin would stop in again. I miss the articles Brighteyes used to write.

I actually thought of KOC during the last game, when the SD center snapped the ball past Rivers and took them out of field goal range... I know KOC's spirit still wanders the field at UoP.

This place isn't as active as it once was, but still provides good insight for the team.

There was another guy from Las Vegas. LV gentleman or something like that. I remember meeting about 4 Cards fans from Vegas(Shark being another) at the meet for Ben, prior to the playoff win, btw, (where's English been?) and they we're all 6'5 or taller. Thought the Cards OL showed up

Section 11 still stops by sometimes to drop a grenade and disappear again. That guy always had an eye for RB talent.

Hopefully Cheesy drops into this thread and lets us know that his bro Ouchie is all right. I'm sure that a lot of guys just got super-successful and are making a ton of money and too busy to drop in here.

There are members I miss.

Nothing stays the same tho.

I have enjoyed this board for a while, and all parts that make up the whole have been for the most part very good.

It seems to be a cyclical situation. The board will increase in active members, and then too many negative, or pain in the butt guys get in here, anger enough people that the board drops a lot of members, and then it rebuilds again.

Right now it feels like we are rebuilding in members. There has been a trickle of new members lately. And the current crop of members has a surprising amount of people out of state, and out of the country, which is way cool.

When the international fans come go to AZ for a trip and the ASFN members make them at home is one of the coolest things I have seen on the board.

But, as for missing people ?

I guess there may be a member or two that I would like to hear from just to know they are doing OK. Most of the names are up in this post....Maddogk, haven't seen him, but last I did he was doing fine.

What I miss most about ASFN, right now we don't have a poster that finds every shred of Cardinals articles, or blurbs on the internet and posts them here.

Don't get me wrong, we do a good job of it as a group, but posters that I cannot name right now, used to find EVERY article. I mean if these was a AZ Cardinals article at the bottom of the Southern Mississippi East quarter gazette it was on the board.

Anyway. Was good, still is good, and hope it stays good.
