I'm getting the feeling that Caleb is going to be the next Ryan Leaf.
No offense, but this is such an ignorant take.

There is a cottage industry devoted to crushing athletes for clicks, and Caleb Williams has done nothing to deserve all of the hate he is receiving. Sure his team didn't win as many games as they should have, but Williams played about as well as anyone would have in that situation.

Lead was a turd of a person, and he even says as much today.

How exactly has growing up changed Murray? His social media presence is more mature? His passer rating went from 87 to 89?

No fair question Dave, and I think primarily it's helped him be both a better leader to his teammates and ambassador for the organization. That's difficult to quantify I know, and it's based on anecdotal evidence items, but I bet most on here would agree with me.

But you're also saying like "how has has it translated to better play on the field?". Which I get it, that's what really matters. But I think we saw glimpses of his improved play at the end of last year. K1's by-game QB ratings for his last three games of 2023 were 97.5, 116.7 and 110.7.

So just you wait my friend! :) In 2024 the new-and-improved Kyler Murray is going to unleash hell on NFL defenses! MVP! MVP! MVP! lol

That was all a media narrative. It is not like he was the one getting DUI's.

A college kid caring so much about winning that he cries after s loss doesn't bother me at all. Why would it?
I posted this in November. It's not just that he went crying to his mommy in the stands.

Here's what I posted then:

After TCU lost to Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship last season, TCU QB Max Duggan got emotional and was crying. In a since-deleted tweet, Caleb Williams had retweeted the video of Duggan crying with the caption "Lol." So right now, a lot of people aren't hating on him for being emotional. It's that he mocked someone else for crying after a championship game and here he is crying to his mommy (literally) after a regular season game.

Ya, bad form for Caleb. But I have seen worse from college kids. No big deal.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, though, the Bears had at least four other teams inquiring about a potential trade for Fields, but his representation requested the team not send him to any of those teams and made it clear Fields preferred the Steelers.

ESPN’s Courtney Cronin also added that the Bears had an additional offer on the table with “stronger draft capital” but turned it down and shipped him to the Steelers in the interest of doing right by him — as general manager Ryan Poles said he wanted to do.
