Prince signed a 9 year deal worth $214M in Detroit. Seriously liking the Dbacks chances in the NL this season if they play like they did last year.

This is huge for the D-Backs. I am glad he is out of the NL.

STL: Older, Lost Best Player
PHI: Good, but still older
MIL: Lost MVP for 50 Games, Lost Other Stud
AZ: Added Pieces without losing much
SF: Didn't add much after tanking down the stretch

Maybe MIA can give the D-Backs a run iwith all their additions, but other than that, everyone else is taking a step back. This is the year the NL Crown is within reach.

Cincinnati is going to be one hell of a team. They are probably favorites in the NL right now.

Im just amazed that Detroit has this much money to throw around.. Arent they one of the hardest hit cities from the economy and other internal issues (car factories)? Where are they getting this money from? Not that I care where Prince went, just amazed..

Every time you eat at Little Ceaser's Pizza, you are helping pay for Prince. The owner of the Tigers is also the owner and founder of Little Ceaser's.

The pizza is ok, but the Crazy Bread is where its at.

Cabrera moving to 3B will quickly move disasterous. While he manned the position earlier in his career, suffice to say he's not as thin or as mobile as he was then.

One of these two will move to DH, the other will man first base.

Maybe, if a few bounces go their way, you can toss Washington into the mix as well.

Ok - we countered by adding Cahill and Saito :)

I'm not saying the D-Backs don't have a shot at winning the NL but Latos/Madson is way better than Cahill/Saito. I do believe that the Reds and D-Backs should be considered in the top group of teams along with the Cardinals (yes they lost Pujols but they added Beltran and get Adam Wainwright back which most people forget) and the Phillies (can never count that rotation out. They need more offense though).

I'm surprised the Tigers didn't pay Prince in pizza.

Truth, but first and foremost, win the division again and get in the tournament. Shouldn't be that hard given the fact that the other teams in it are horrible.

Ah, but now we've avoided arbitration with Ziegler, so that puts us over the top!

I wouldn't say way better, to me Cahill and Latos is about a wash, but will agree Madson is better than Saito.

Whenever I see his name I think of Toby Ziegler (who was a Yankee fan on the show though). Did anyone watch the West Wing when it was on?

Every week. Especially when Emily Procter was in the cast, before a larger role on CSI Miami :)
