I hope the Cards D bring their A game next week. CJ is by far the best RB in the NFL. He does it all, rushes, catches well out of the backfield, picks up blitzes, and blocks well coming out of the backfield. AP is no slouch either but I'd take Johnson over AP anyday of the week. The only reason why he doesn't get as much love is because he played at a small school, and Tennesse has a mediocre record. If he went to a DI school like Texas or USC and played on a team say like the Giants, or Pats, he would be getting some serious love. He is on my FF team so I have seen a lot of him play this year and the Cards are going to have their hands full on Sunday.

Hopefully we will have our hands full of his jersey. It will be a very, very tough task.

I am a HUGE Chris Johnson fan. I bet a lot on East Carolina his senior year and so I got to see a lot of their games and he is just so much faster than everyone on the field. And then the fact that he isn't afraid of contact and can block and catch just makes him something special. I think a team with either AP or CJ4.24 is gonna be in great shape for a long time.

I still have no idea what happened in the playoff game with baltimore last year. They never said what his injury was how he got hurt, he just was out of the game as ten blew that game.

I would have to take Johnson over AP, Johnson can literally outrun anyone on the field at any given moment and even though he is the only part to the Tenn. offense he keeps putting up spectacular numbers. Also, in his whole time in the NFL he has only 2 fumbles to AP's 17. CJ just has no weak spot to his game now that he is literally running through would be tacklers and making great block in blitz pickup. I don't think there is a more exciting player in the NFL right now than Chris Johnson, it is great to watch th dude play.

I think we'll be ok against CJ.. it's Young scrambling on 3rd down that scares the hell out of me.

Sorry, but I do think AP is a tad bit overrated. He's incredible, but not as great as people want him to be.

But yeah, i do wish we had him instead of Levi.

Would you rather have AP and no levi, some un-named player who also could be a bust. Or would you Stick with Levi and Beanie?

Shane, that is the billion dollar hindsight question.

I think, at the end of the day, I'd rather have Levi and Beanie. AP is great, but our line was atrocious. Levi is average, but average is far better than what we had. A healthy Beanie is about 90 percent of AP, IMO, so I have to go with what we have.

I don't think AP would be the guy he is in our pass offense and with our oline (as a rookie without Levi at tackle.)

I too would stick with Wells and Levi. Even with all of Levi's mistakes we have still managed to be the class of the NFC West and make a magical playoff run with him at the RT spot. He certainly wasnt the reason we arent SB champs. So I'm good with the pick and what we have now.

And had we known, we could have had Chris Johnson instead of DRC in the '08 draft. However, I will also take what we have with Levi, DRC, and Beanie. The potential for the future looks good.

Steven Jackson disagrees.

Jackson is a distant third to these two.

No way. Give me Adrian Peterson all day. :D CJ has good acceleration and top end speed, but he doesn't have the vision or the moves that AP has. It is a lot closer than it was a year ago, (AP vs CJ) but Adrian is still the best back in the league.

It's a lot closer this year because AP is a lot less of the offensive options in Minnesota than he was last year and certainly less critical this year to the Vikings than CJ is to the Titans.

Tennessee does not have a HOF quarterback and not much of a receiving threat. Nor do they have as decent of a #2 back like the Vikings do with Chester Taylor. Minnesota has a lot of great weapons with the additions of Favre and Harvin, and the development of their receiving corps.

AP would probably dominate more this year if he were playing for the Titans--he would have to. Likewise, CJ wouldn't get as many of the headlines if he were in Minnesota.

Oh, I completely disagree with that. CJ has ridiculous lateral moves...ridiculous. Better than ANYONE in this league since Barry Sanders. Yes, I just went there. Dude can move 3 yards to the right or left and cut upfield like nobody's business. If the linebackers come on a jailbreak, I'd take CJ every single time over AP to escape. AP's moves? Overrated. He's fast and strong, but his moves are Anquan Boldin style "moves," which means taking a shot, bouncing off it and rolling on for a TD.

Blocking = CJ > AP
Speed = CJ >AP
Power = AP > CJ
Acceleration CJ > AP
Pass catching CJ > AP
Durability/Strenth AP > CJ
Ball security CJ > AP
Vision at the line AP > CJ
Open field vision AP >/= CJ

I take CJ every time...and frankly I'm shocked because I did NOT think he'd be this solid all-around. I thought he'd be a speedy back that wouldn't take the NFL pounding. I was wrong...dude is nails.

Anybreason why you give AP the nod in durability? Wouldn't strength be better teamed with power?

Yeah, I guess. But AP is better built to sustain big hits. And I thought he'd be oft' injured in the NFL, but he's a little tank out there. If I had to pick one that I think would get injured on any given hit, it would be CJ.
