I realize the Seahawks added FA talent at CB, but this cut was a shocker. Wonder if he's healthy and can still bring it. If so, he'd be a tempting pick up (if we could afford him) because he brings a track record of productivity plus veteran leadership to our secondary.

I realize the Card CB corps already includes Rolle, Green, Hood, Bain and Adams, but a top 4 CB crew consisting of Rolle, Green, Hood and a healthy, experienced Herndon could sure be interesting.

he was a gambler out there - he's had some injuries the past two years and was very up and down

with that said, if he was healthy and not hampered by lingering effects he could of been valuable to the team - by cutting him i'm working under the assumption that his progress isn't going that well and it's cut his athleticism

he's not a great technique guy, so if he can't move and play in space then he's pretty much done

wish he could of contributed more though - puts a lot of pressure on the young guys

Just in a passing conversation with a Seattle fan Herndons nickname is Burndon. Gambles a lot and while it could bring a big play it also gave up a lot of big plays as well.

Injury 4 games in 2005, started 6 games, and played Nickle back the other games. Seemed to have excelled more at Nickle then when he started.

Started every game last year but started mini camps as the #4 CB on the roster this season and his salary just wasnt in line with his spot on their depth chart.

Not sure if he is good enough to get into our top 3 and I am not sure we can get him at the correct price to fit under the cap without to much more fiddling with the contracts of other players.
