I’ve often said that wouldn’t have made a difference, but I’ve revised that thought. Such a close series… to lose our only legit backup Big def could have made a difference.

But CP3 disappearing and Booker’s stupid foul trouble in Game 4 and atrocious Game 6 coulda made a difference too. Man, what an utter collapse that was.

I keep thinking if the Suns had another rotation 4/5, the momentum may have never shifted in that series.

I'm ready to trade for Isaiah Stewart and hope some of his toughness rubs off on the Suns.

Robert Williams would be a second choice.

About Tyus, I find myself wondering why he isn’t bringing up the ball. Instead he’s been relegated to standing in the corner for threes.

It feels like Book and KD are reluctant to change the offensive game plan.

Plum also takes the ball out of everyone’s hands too when he brings the ball up.

could be... but they throttled us from the jump in game 3 of that series. That game probably sticks the same. But Game 4 was a nail-biter and a solid rotation 4/5 in that game could have been the difference.

The way I look at it, the momentum shifted when the Suns went on the road and they never got it back.

Saric going down in game 1 really hurt. The Suns were never able to adjust to Giannis' drives to the basket.

I admit, when the Suns went up 2-0 in that series, I thought they were going to win.

Everyone, everywhere did. Even my Laker fan friends were telling me to enjoy the ride because this is what title runs look like.

Our bench was a major strength all year long and it was very good in the playoffs and Saric was the linchpin of the bench. If our bench plays marginally better in games four or five and six any of them could’ve turned out different.

Saric created my favorite moment of the whole run, on defense of all places.

Yeah… I remember watching that play in my parents Jacuzzi. My mom was having major surgery to have her lung removed later that summer and we were still being Uber careful about Covid and brother not Ouchie and my niece were over and we were all watching the game together outside.

The second Payne got the ball, I yelled “They’ve got the Oop!” And WHAMMO!

That was the moment we all knew that series was over and the one where I thought to myself NO ONE is stopping us this year.

I had a dream during that run that we won and I was celebrating with the fam. Quite the letdown!

If I understand this, we don’t have his bird rights so we can’t extend and we can’t sign and trade?

Correct. It takes 2 years with a team to get early bird rights and 3 for full bird rights.

Early bird rights allow for a player to be re-signed up to the average salary, which is usually a little over the mid level exception, or 125% of their previous salary, whichever is greater.

If any somewhat serious playoff contender loses their PG or is in serious need of a backup 6th man PG, we should flip him for a 1st round pick without thinking twice.
