The (Bears) announced Tuesday that they have placed Martellus Bennett on injured reserve.

The Bears also announced that they have signed Rob Housler to round out the tight end group. Housler had one catch in six games for the Browns earlier this year and 105 catches for Arizona the last four years.

And to think we had him and Ted Ginn Jr on the roster at the same time at one point? 2 guys with possibly THE worst hands at their position in years, maybe decades? How far this team has come. Now we arguably have the deepest WR & RB rooms in the league. TE? Still a work in progress. Would be nice if Niklas would amount to something someday.

Cleveland released him a few weeks ago. God our TE position was bad not that long ago. Even if you don't like the TE group now at least they can block and catch a ball every now and again.

Sam Acho is playing for the Bears currently, he is a solid NFL player, nothing special, but enough to get on the field and make a tackle or two.
