OT: Jimmy G

This week he had a practice where he threw 5 straight interceptions. Tonight he goes 1/6 with an INT and 0.0 QBR. Apparently Broncos got hands on every ball and dropped a pick 6.

I know its the cool thing to say that preseason doesnt matter, but that kind of performance is basically what any of us would do in there.

Its either that porn star or hes caught the Fultz yipps. That is alarming to me.

He's mostly been hype. That stretch to end the 2017 season was fairly weak sauce. He threw 6 TD's in 5 games, mostly at home, against bad teams or teams resting their starters for the playoffs. A win is a win, but they weren't because he was throwing lights out in tough circumstances. More of a team that got on a lucky streak against favorable circumstances.

That doesn't mean he's bad. It's just everyone in the media jumped the gun to call him a franchise QB. The 49ers themselves bought the hype and gave him that deal.

He hasn't really done anything. He could be good or bad or anything in between. He can be called injury prone as he's been injured three times in ten starts and 16 relief appearances.

Garapolo is also returning from a shredded knee. Murray is 100% healthy and is supposed to be the real deal. Not saying Jimmy G is the real deal(a whole lot of this board wanted him) but he at least has a lot of field rust to dust off.

I think they overpaid but I think he'll be pretty good. He's the kind of guy with Shanahan that will probably look good if their WR's are ok. I didn't watch the game but I've seen the lowlights even the completed pass was not a well thrown ball and it was a dumpoff to Breida.
