Intentional move to try and stay ahead of us given the TE has been our defensive weakness for something like eternity.

That's a great trade for a Seattle imo. That first rd pick is a super late 1st rd pick. Graham was injured last year, he's still a beast.

Russel Wilson just got a legit #1 option.

His cap his is $8 million (2015), $9 million (2016) and $10 million (2017). After locking up Wilson, there is not going to be a whole log of money left.
That's what I'm thinking too. where are they getting the $$? They were $25mil under the cap prior to Lynch.

Isn't the Saints' cap hit $9mil, not $12mil? He had 3yrs left on the contract.

They can restructure most of his 2015 Salary to Bonus and have very little cap impact for this year. So the same thing next year, and cut him in year 3.

This is actually great news. Now we can actually get burnt by a TE who actually is an All Pro. Atleast I wont be yelling at the TV...saying wtf..who is this guy catching 12 balls for 197 and 2 td's.

They're 3rd string TE looked like Jimmy Graham when they played us. Guess they opted for the real thing instead.

Who cares our D is gonna be solid and we will compete with them for the division. The real question is will their D be able to stop our offense??? We hung with them all beat up and without Palmer I think their gimmicky offense can really struggle at times they rely on Wilson and beast mode, either of them get hurt or take a step back they are in trouble!

Agree. Their TEs already killed us. All this did was hurt their OL and draft. He can't hurt us much worse and he costs a ton more.

ROFL. I guess they wanted to try to cement this. Because if we play a game where this doesn't happen, odds for us are pretty good imo.

I thought I heard the Seahawks had like ~16.5 million in cap space, so they have room for moves. Though I don't know what that is after the Jimmy G trade.

There is no way around the fact that Wilson to Graham is going to be a tough combo.

Honestly think we should draft a ILB before a pass-rusher in the first now. You know, that can cover really good like Eric Kendricks or Shaq Thompson?

All the great TEs have last name with Gs.

Gonzalez, Gates, Gronk, Graham.

They got a great TE to pair with a great running back, but they have lost two starters on their o-line this off-season in the process. It's always a give and take. As we Card fans know, offensive talent doesn't mean much if your o-line sucks.

IF Saints keep Brees, their logical 2nd round pick would be Michigan's Devin Funchess, TE/WR, the perfect Graham-type player in this draft.
