I was doing some "weeding" through my papers, etc. and found this. Thought some of you might find it amusing...And it's also a gentle reminder to savor and fully enjoy where we are now.
Let's see. 7 games to go. 4 games off the division lead and 3 1/2 out of the final wild card. Not looking too good. I calculate we need 17 different things to happen for us to somehow sneak into the play-offs. Man, that's alot to hope for. Man...THIS SUCKS!! WHY does this keep happening...year after year...hopes getting crushed. UGH! WHY? WHY?? WHY???

"Huh?" "Wh-a-a-t?"
"You were just having a bad dream."
"Oh, babe. It was HORRIBLE!!
"We were back in the pre-Whiz' days and we had no shot at the play-offs for the umpteenth time and...

"I''ll be alright. Just...just hold me for a lil' while, k?"
"Sure thing, sweetie."
7-4 sure sounds pretty good to me, my Cardinal friends.
