PHOENIX - The son of former Arizona Cardinals Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt has been indicted by a grand jury.

Court records show that Kenneth Moore Whisenhunt Jr., 26, was arrested by Phoenix police on July 12 near 40th Street and Indian School Road.

He was indicted by a grand jury on six counts of sexual conduct with a minor girl who is over 15 years old.

Her parents leanred about him and their daughter in Dec 2016. And they are just now arresting him.


So basically they've been running a sting on him for 6 months collecting evidence every time he texts her.

Definite target. The reason child molesters and sex offenders get the treatment locked up is because so many miss their families that it's appalling to them anyone would hurt a child or a female. Actually, that's only reserved for guys who molest little kids. And while a 16 or 17 year old girl is technically a child, physically some are as convincing as adults. Still doesn't excuse his behavior and he's still going to have to be a registered sex offender and do time but inmates won't look at him like they would someone like Jerry Sandusky.

We just had a guy I worked with been found guilty of molesting his daughter over 25 years ago. Don't know about AZ but there's no statute of limitations on aggravated sexual assault in NJ.

It's a very rotten deal. I've seen a dude get stabbed in his eye for stealing a brownie.

I've also heard table talk of a fellow inmate being a Chester.

I have stories I'll never tell on here and believe me I've never seen anything sexual in there although I know it existed. The stories are something I want to forget but..the ones who deserve it I wish the families could see for themselves.

But let me say...

Some charges that are convicted may seem true but in reality they are drummed up as some are pled to a lesser degree. It all depends on the prosecutor and the Judge along with a good attorney. You can be a kid in a situation and be convicted of a crime that is embellished by the limits of the law.

But on the other hand such as in my case I was a not a felon or never was before I was convicted which the Judge took in major consideration in my case. Still I served 4 years. It was a federal crime so I served 4 years I received no good time.

I'll concede to you because you've seen things from the other point of view than mine because I can't imagine what goes on that staff isn't privy to. But I can attest that I've seen some donnybrooks break out over the dumbest things. Hunger strikes over wanting the Cartoon Network, fights over chocolate chip cookies, fights over a football player. IMO prison inmates are no different than children.

You're so right. I was lucky enough to make solid friends with the older gents as they knew my situation and gave me a lot of pointers. I only got into a few fights and that was at the beginning of my term.

It's all about respect but then there's always disrespect from every direction.

When I was still a CO I had to personally run an incident management (that's what AZ prisons used to do in the early 00's - I think they've updated since) on an inmate that asked me for help after the inmates found out that he was convicted of sex with a minor. This was in gen pop, and the inmate had been trying to get away with lying about his actual conviction. Maybe that was what got him in trouble (the lying), but he had sex with a 15 yo when he was 19, so it was not even nearly as egregious as what Whis Jr. did.

Did I mention that half of said inmate's scalp was peeled off from the can-in-sock that got him?

This was in gen pop, and the inmate had been trying to get away with lying about his actual conviction. I didn't say my theory was 100% but in my experience the violence tended to be more toward those who molest little kids.
