I agree with the article. The one that really bugs me are the Suns jerseys. I think they are so played out, corny, and just plain hideous.

The oldschool jerseys with the flaming ball across the front are awsome. They stood for something. The Suns "planet orange" gimmick and all that stuff just makes them seem more like a carnival act than a franchise with personality.

It appears as if this poor kid's been sideswiped by a Sherwin Williams van.

Vegas, baby, yeah!

Fricking University of Nike at Eugene. They went to the 1,001 unis after Phil Knight made a huge contribution to the school

As to the HS football unis - I see the same thing at Bishop Gorman, a powerhouse HS football team (#19 nationally) here in Vegas. Nike does their uniforms, and Gorman is getting close to the 1,001 mantra.

Course, it helps when a billionaire's kid plays on the team.

That's high school campus :jawdrop:?

Half of it. They're expanding (in construction now) to increase the classroom size by a third, add an aquatic sports center, and put in a new chapel.

They just finished the Athletic Training Center. Here's a link with pictures:

Worth the look.

The top floor has a full kitchen and bar. Watch the game from the patio.

The stadium seats about 5,000. They're already talking about expanding it further because of the number of high profile games that they play every year (4 or 5) that sell out and that are televised (ESPN 2 twice this year, I believe).

LVG, How many students attend Bishop Gorman?

1100 to 1200 now. The expansion will get them up around the 1600 mark.

Frank Fertitta III, chairman of Station Casinos
Lorenzo Fertitta, owner of the UFC

Nice guys.

Nice guys.

I'm sorry, but that is completely absurd for a high school. I teach at high school with about 500 more students that has been a top football program in Arizona since it opened. We have a weight room and a field.

I feel sorry for the teachers that have to deal with the football players at that school. I know most of those guys would have such a sense of entitlement, that they would expect you to give them a way to pass even if they hadn't done crap in the classroom all year. By the description of the facilities, I bet the coach and principal would too.
