Maybe he'll sign before the first game and will be in the starting lineup out of desperation. DRC would feast that day!

Not too worried about Crabtree. Josh Morgan is already a stud.

Anyone know if there is a deadline for the Niners to sign him before they lose his rights? Also, with the whole uncapped year thing.. I'm glad we have our rookies under contract.. imagine if other rookies followed the trend..

We have his rights up until the day of the draft! he can't even work out for any team without our permission. If he sits out the 49ers will be laughing all the way to the bank and then after that they would just make a big splash in the 2010 FA. THe 49ers could also deal Crabtree's rights to another team for draft picks. It's a win-win situation for the 49ers.

Within that said, Crabtree and his agent had never said that he will sit out. The story is bogus.

20 receptions and only 100 yard game came in preseason is the mark of every stud receiver :D.

He went down with a staph infection in the beginning of the season and lost 15 pounds. He still performed well enough last year especially for a 6th rounder. This year, he's back healthy as ever and already secured the #1 WR spot in SF. He's a stud and you will see.

Sure it is? :doi:

I'm sure it's working out just how 9er fans wanted.

We didn't even need a WR. We drafted him because he was the BPA. We already have a bunch of young guys ready to step up. Even if we needed a WR, next year's draft will be LOADED with them. The 49ers could easily deal his rights for a few nice picks and then use his money to sign a proven vet in FA. It's a nice situation.

Considering there is zero competition for the #1 spot, not sure if him being #1 at this means much of anything. Its like someone bragging about getting second place in a race of two people.

You mean like how we ate crow when this underrated journeyman QB by the name of JT O'Sullivan started? Or underrated journeyman QB Shaun Hill started? ;)

Who said JTO was underrated? I always thought the guy was joke from day 1. If it wasn't for that clown the 49ers would probably have a better record than the Cards last year. I am not on bit scared of your team. That MNF win was a fluke and it won't happen again this year.

When is that last time the 49ers beat Warner?

Really, haterade. People still use that term?

And thats all you have. You couldnt make a case for the great Morgan with a total of 20 catches, or a Battle with a career high of 59 catches, or Hill with a career high of 30 catches, or Jones with a career high of 41 catches, or Bruce the oldest WR in football who got a grand total of 2 catches for 14 yards against us last year. Come on now. Not a single guy on that list could even sniff our top 3 WR's. Our #3 would be your #1 without even trying right now.

Sorry but I think those streaks are just ignorant. One person does not automatically guarantee a win for a team. Anything can happen in the NFL teams switch places every year in this league. To say the 49ers can't the Cards is riciculous because all of our games have been close.

But honestly, after Warner retires this year I don't see Leinart stepping up at all.

Why don't you just save that for next year. We all know Breaston's stats were inflated because your team couldn't run the ball to save their lives. Since when has a pass happy non running team won the SB??? that's what I thought.

So how come your RBs weren't torching everyone last year as a result of your teams inability to pass?? How come your recievers weren't doing anything when Gore was getting stonewalled??
