I am sorry to hear about your son, man. My prayers go out to him and your family.
Prayers from Southern Ohio.
I lost a son to a car accident when he was 19....but I have tons of memories and it just seems like he's just around the corner in another town.
I also have 2 grandsons who are 3 and 5......the 5 year old got his fingers smashed in a window a few years ago and I almost lost it.....nothing was broken however.....just hang in there....I had one son who was 2 months premature and he's now 30 and is 6'4" and weighs 235 pounds.
Modern medicine is amazing....hopefully it works for you and your son and your family.
Good news! He's seeming much more himself today. Still not drinking as much as we'd hope but he's smiling and laughing a lot, back to his goofy self on that front. He actually scared the *@@! out of me last night. I have him right next to me in a pack and play. Usually, he's in his own room in his crib. So I finally fell asleep around 3am and at 4am was awakened by him laughing in this weird laugh he does.
It's cute during the daytime, but at 4am, it scared the crap out of me! He's literally a foot from my head laughing this weird laugh that made me think of the movie Child's Play or Pet Semetary! It's funny now....
Anyway, things seem to be looking better! He's getting his strength back to where he's crawling again a bit and tried walking again.
We're still terrified about the possibility of another seizure but at least it seems like the medication isn't affecting his personality, which was a huge concern considering the side effects we've read about with Kepra.
Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers, it's meant so much to us during this difficult time.
