I'm strongly considering forking over for NBA League Pass so that I can watch Suns games online at any time (curse you canadian basketball coverage!).

Does anyone have experience with it?

Specifically, I am looking to see whether...
a) How many suns games actually are on the schedule. Originally I assumed that all games were on it but it does say that up to 10 games a day and 40 games a week are shown. I'm guessing there are more than 40 games a week so what isn't shown? Do they blackout all the nationally televised games?

b) What's the quality like? I'm sure many of you have struggled with some of the free feeds that pop up here and there like I have. If I am going to put down cash for this I expect near flawless feeds. Is this the case?

Any insight out there?

I had it last year. But I live in PHX so the Suns games were always on a local channel too and i would watch that.

I just liked being able to see almost all the games and pretty much be able to watch some nba basketball pretty much any night of the week.

I have a friend in Florida and one in North Carolina and they both buy for the Suns. As far as I can remember from talking to them, there are very few Suns games missed.

Yes, they blackout all the nationally televised games, including those on NBATV. They also blackout any locally televised games. Other than that, all the other games are available, at least in the US. (I am not sure if the Canadian version is different.)

The online quality is decent. Better than the free feeds, but certainly not flawless. Helps if you have a really fast internet connection. I think they actually have a free preview on nba.com right now, you just have to create a free account.

Since we're on the subject, does anyone here actually get any NBA League Pass games in HD? My cable company just told me that they will not be showing any of the games in HD, even though they have advertised that they do. I am really not happy about that.

i cancelled league pass this year - but last year I did receive some league pass games in HD (a good amount) - checked those stations on directv and there are HD options for most this year as well

this year almost all the hockey i've been watching is in HD (last year was few and far between)

griffin is right on about what they show - there are rare radio only games that for some reason aren't shown on any TV stations - but they are very rare

can't attest to the online stuff

I've had it for the past 5 years now. You get every game that isn't on TNT, ESPN, ABC, & NBATV. The only issue I ever had was a blackout of Bobcats games when the Mavs were playing them, and stupid regional coverage when ABC shows one of two possible games. . . it actually takes both from League pass and only shows one.

Quality. . . . I'm not an expert on that. . .. but it's a 750 billion times better than a feed from the internet.

I'd get it if I were you.

Edit - Sorry, didn't realize you meant online. . .. I'll leave what I said up for others that may be on the fence.

I just got directv installed sunday and bought league pass. I sweet talked the customer service rep into giving me a free year of showtime and knock off one of the payments of league pass, so instead of 4 payments of 42.50, it is only 3 payments.

Watched last nights suns v nets in HD on the YES network (NJ/NY station). HD quality was just fine.

I havent set up the online part yet, but last year i watched plenty of the NBA broadband feeds and was very satisfied with the quality. they arent HD feeds online, but theyre not youtube either.

I'm pissed because the game last night was supposed to be on dtv 751-1 last night. When I got home from work, my recording didn't work and the channel said it was blacked out. Makes no sense as I live in CA.

No more 24 hour customer service either. Tried to call last night. Gonna go call them right now. Tonight's game is supposed to be on the same channel.

I signed up for trial NBA League Pass Broadband. Based on my experience so far, I don't think I'll buy it.

I wanted so much for it to work well coz I'm bound to miss a lot of games due to my work/school schedule. I thought its 2-day archive is a nice feature that will let me catch up with the games I missed.

I'm sad to report that I haven't been able to watch any of the past Suns games with this NBA LP Broadband coz those games were all blacked out or unavailable for some reason. When I tried watching one of the archived games (Cavs vs Hornets), the video stops about 10 mins into the game. Video stops at the same point even if I restart the program or reboot my PC or use a different computer altogether. Booo!

Well, the first three games were not available, because they were all broadcast nationally (TNT, ESPN and NBATV). The last game should have been available, as well as tonight's game (except to those living in the local markets where those teams are from).

I hate that it tells you the scores of all the games on the bottom before you watch them. Is there a way to turn that off?

If there's anything to make me consider not getting it, it's that.
