You guys do know they got fined money and draft picks for doing that?

There is a larger rumor that says NFL owners complained that the 49ers were making under the table payments to players to circumvent the cap, the NFL looked into it but could never verify it.

So you have a large rumor that if true was a big deal, but has not been verified. Against a large rumor that if true was a big deal, and has since been verified repeatedly with video and written and direct testimony.

If the NFL had found proof the Pats taped the Rams walkthrough this would all be over, they've had nailed them and who knows what would happened because they made Kraft and Belichick sign a promise that they were not lying about the extent of the cheating and the SB walkthrough was a specific item they insisted had not happened. The NFL couldn't prove it so they didn't punish the Pats for that rumor, just like with the NFL and the 49ers.

They proved they circumvented the cap on some rookie contracts and a deal with Brent Jones, they fined and took draft picks.
