Want to know a recipe for disaster? Look no further than the LA Rams. Their last first round pick? 2016 Jared Goff. Their next? 2022.
Agreed, but they almost won a Super Bowl. They only lost by ten points.

I'm sure all of us would take half a decade of poor play to win one. They have just as many 1st round picks still starting on their team since 2015 as we do, and we've had 3 more chances.

Trade up for the top pick and you're out of the drafting game for a few years.

Ha! We did! We only lost a Super Bowl by 4 points. Yesterday’s results are no gaurantee of future success.

Better than half a decade of hopelessness, which is where we're standing right now. I had a hell of a lot more fun in 2008-2009 or 2014-2015 than I am now. Around those times, I had hope. Right now, there's nothing. I have a bumbling GM, head coach that has never won at any level, the worst defense in the league, one of the lowest draft retention rates of any team, and 7-9 roster spots where our starters aren't even under contract.

Please, sign me up for a glimmer of hope.

It’s called rebuilding. How do you think The Rams got Goff and Gurley?

while the Cardinals, Seahawks and 49ers were fighting it out where do you think the Rams were? That’s right having 10 losing seasons in a row.

Oh the 49ers are good now, great this is there 1st winning season in 6 years.

Welcome to the NFL. No such thing as a magical little wand that’s going to make everything better over night. This board is so unrealistic it’s unbelievable.

and stop with the half decade stuff. We’ve been rebuilding for 2 years now. That’s it. 8-8 three years ago with a million injuries on that team dude.

The Cardinals do that, but instead of trading them, they just waste them so it looks like they do not have 1st round picks for 6 years

Uh, the Rams traded up to #2 to get Goff (two first-round picks, two second-rounders, and two third-round selections), and picked Gurley at #10 the year prior. You know what else they did? Drafted young, starting players, unlike Bluto.

They also got rid of their middling HC. Right now, we have a guy who has had one winning season in college. And an empty roster. Can't wait. 8-8 with a 2x coach of the year is our best go of it since 2015. Let's not forget our 7-8-1 season.

@Finito, it's 4 years without a winning record, and year 5 isn't looking promising.

10 straight losing seasons. ok get it? Uh they fired there coach...10 straight losing seasons.

did they really do great in the draft? Cause Goff and Gurley look like there headed in the wrong direction fast. I remember them building that team through free agency and trades. Now there in cap hell with no first rounders for a couple years.

8-8 with tons of injuries so stop trying to ignore that. Palmer got hurt, DJ was hurt. Hump was hurt....

rebuilding for 2 years

Their only bad move was really extending Gurley too early. The Goff extension is easy to rip but he was coming off two productive seasons and was 24 years old. They can actually move on pretty easily after next season if he keeps trending south.
