Doug and Wold were talking about this, this morning. John Clayton downplayed it. It does seem real odd though

According to NFL Network’s James Palmer, with Manning not playing this week due to what the team is calling a left foot injury, the futureHall of Famer has not even been near his team or coaching staff this week.

Manning “hasn’t attended any practices or meetings this week and hasn’t had a single conversation about Sunday’s game plan with Brock Osweiler,” according to Palmer. Mark Haas at CBS Denver has reported the same.

Not a Manning fan, but he's an icon and deserves a little bit of the benefit of the doubt. Though I've never been in his position, I would say: bow out with some grace and the nation will remember you fondly. Act like a baby and a lifetime of hard work will be wasted and you will be remembered as such...and if this is just an injury you need to recover from...rehab, and come back to do more great things. Your call.

he is probably upset over getting benched...understandably.... I am sure he will come around and help Osweiller...

Brett Favre went out kicking and screaming too..... but he is still remembered for the great games he played.

He's hurt not getting benched, he will be their starter when healthy they still have a shot and that D can win games for them. He's probably concentrating on getting healthy and looking towards playoffs since this is prob his final year. I think it's much todo about nothing. Osweiler steps in for a few games to let manning rest and manning starts when ready. Let's be honest I still take an 70% manning over an unproven osweiler.

Kind of reminds me of someone who at one time was my favorite player:

According to Neil Lomax, Hart refused to mentor him and was kind of a dick toward Lomax. Hart's ego didn't allow him to be a mentor to his eventual replacement. At that point in his career, Hart was in his 16th season when Lomax came in and at the end of his long career and should have helped the team and not worry about his ego.

Hey NJ...Is the quote in your sig attributed to Adrian Wilson?

Aeneas Williams was #35. The quote is from his speech when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. I just shortened it to A-Dub.

Denver has coaches to talk about the game plan with him why would Peyton do it?
I could see him discussing reads on the sideline during the game but he isn't traveling due to the injury.
In all reality how is Peyton supposed to help him? They have both spent the same length of time in this offense.

I am hoping the Osweiler Era begins in Denver today. With Denver's defense, he should be able to get the win today by just playing in game manager mode. He doesn't have to do anything spectacular. But I expect him to surprise a few people today and create a qb controversy going forward.

No controversy if Peyton is healthy he leads this team thru the playoffs no question! Come on man if healthy no one is leaving a first ballot HOF QB sitting in the bench lol

No doubt, but I expect Brock to do well and create some controversy, that's all
