I play lacrosse almost year 'round and have for more than twenty years.

That said, those shorts are awful.

Saying you're a lacrosse player in Colorado or Arizona (especially 20 years ago) is like saying you're a surfer in Wyoming or an ice skater in Jamaica. Just saying...
Tell that to the teams that come out from back east and get spanked by DU, or the guys from back east that I best on a regular basis in Vail. Just sayin...

C'mon man you know I was just being honest and truthful.

You may very well be a great player, but there is little lacrosse out there and none of it is very good---this is just a fact. As the game grows that will obviously change, but as of right now, what I said was completely correct.

Denver's team wasn't on the map until Tierney came to them--and he only did that because he was just finishing up with the pro circuit there and has family in the area. And where again are their players coming from??? 90% of them are from the east, with almost 2/3 of the team hailing from MD and upstate NY/LI. Playing high school ball in my area all but solidifies your shot at playing D1 ball somewhere in the country. I'm not trying to be a dick, but I dont think anything I've said here is untrue. How many National Championships have been won by teams west of the Mississippi?

No offense, but I don't think you know what you're talking about.

Of course the quality is better overall on the east coast, but Colorado isn't exactly a barren wasteland for lax. We've got 4 major schools (and a handful of smaller ones like CC) that put together pretty good squads each year, 2 pro teams and a 5-division post-collegiate league.

There's A LOT of lacrosse in Colorado, and a lot of it is pretty good.

I'll not be commenting on someone else wearing shorts. I have seen pics of myself in shorts and it is not pretty.

My university won at DU last year

Colorado does have a pretty good lax scene - probably the best west of the mississippi

however, it doesn't hold up to what comes out of the mid-atlantic through upstate NY

of the 78 colleges/universities getting votes in the rankings across all divisions how many are west of PA? - of the 43 players on DUs roster only 12 are from CO

there are some in ohio, KY, Ind - but the hotbed for lacrosse is the mid-atlantic, up through PA into upstate NY and some of the new england states and canada

i like that the game is spreading though as it's awesome - I miss going to sting games out here

I'm lost with what the hell Pac Man and Lacrosse have to do with each other???

Saying that MD is certified badazz so if hes rocking them its only a matter of months before Pac Man board shorts have swept the nation as the hottest fad. That and pretending to piss on merchandise at sporting good stores ;)

In comparison with other states out West, yes. Compared to the states in the northeast, no way. Colorado has two DI schools, MD has 6-7 (all powerhouses and better than Denver) and NY and PA both have like 15 a piece.

I will admit though that I am impressed with the size of the club games out there. I did not know there was that much going on out there. Tierney is easily one of the greatest coaches ever (I used to go to his camps, and kinda wanted to play for him at Princeton but didn't have the grades or $$$ to make it happen) and will have Denver doing big things in the future.
