Rams send players acquired in RG3 trade out for pregame coin toss

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...rade-out-for-pregame-coin-toss-223532066.html

Plenty of people have criticized the Washington Redskins lately; matter of fact, it's probably difficult to find anyone outside of Daniel Snyder's earshot who has anything nice to say about the team. But for all the grief and disgust the Redskins have inspired, no one has done a better job of pointing out what a train wreck this team has become than the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

Yes, the Rams beat the Redskins 24-0, but that wasn't the best part of the story. Rams head coach Jeff Fisher sent Stedman Bailey, Michael Brockers, Janoris Jenkins, Alec Ogletree, Greg Robinson and Zac Stacy out to midfield to handle the coin toss.

What do those six players have in common? They're six of the players St. Louis acquired via draft picks when it dealt Washington the draft choice that would become Robert Griffin III. Yes, the same RG3 who's now a disgraced distant second option at quarterback for Washington.

:lmao:

i dont know

why would you want to rub an opponents nose in it? Its not like those were players on the Redskins roster that they decided they didnt want --- it was trading draft picks. Its not like the Redskins went to the media post trade and crowed about how they totally pulled one over on the Rams.

this just strikes me as a jerk move for no reason.

Reportedly it's a poke in the eye to the Deadskins owner Dan Snyder who chose Robert Griffin, III over Jeff Fisher's pal Mike Shanahan.

Fisher wasn't even around when the trade went down. Seems classless to me.

I don't care for either team but thought it was funny when I heard about it. I had sportscenter on this morning and when they got to the highlights for this game the anchor, can't remember her name, said WSH wouldn't let them show the video of the coin toss. At least I think that's what I heard.

I thought it was funny and creative. If anyone deserves a poke in the eye it is Snyder.

Among the traits of a successful coach is motiviating and bonding the team toward a common goal. What is NOT a key element of coaching success is giving a crap that anyone outside the organization might get their little feelings hurt.

Classless move

Fisher should be above this

It's one thing to win a bet, but to rub someones nose in it....shows a lack of class

if you win a bet you take your money and walk...anyone who takes the money and laughs at the other person or gives them the 'this is why you lost and why I won' speech deserves to have their rear kicked.

It says Swagger to me! I do think its a punka$$ move but between him and Pete Carroll we have alot of bada$$ attitude to compete with in this division. 9ers players have it but Harbaugh has a foot out the door so we'll see who leads that crew in 2015.

That is sort of cruel. It is like an old girl friend bringing all her new bfs over to introduce to you so as to show you how much better she is since she dumped you.

While it may be funny to joke about it in your locker room, this is a classless move. The only good ting I can say about it is they didn't walk out with their hands in the air.

Make your statements while the clock is ticking on the scoreboard.

Mike Shanahan is horrid as a HC if it was in defense of him, it was purely classless. I know what would be nice for the Cardinals to do but I know it is impossible since the uniform alternates are submitted before the season... but come out in the 1984 white St.Louis Cardinal uniforms :D

I think it's hilarious. People who think it's a douche move or whatever need a sense of humor imo.

I think less of fisher now. Not much less but less. But it IS funny.

I agree with the people that say it's funny and I agree with the people that say it's classless. But it doesn't make me think any less of Jeff. He's already at the bottom AFAIC. Switch Jeff with the guy in San Francisco or Seattle and we'd be looking at the best team in the NFL, not even close. As it is, I think they are on their way to the top even if they don't fire their Head Clown.

Well, I think he wouldn't have done this to a lot of teams but everyone in the NFL hates Daniel Snyder. When you consider that Gregg Williams thinks he had a job as HC in Washington a few years ago......

yeah, they wanted to rub his face in it. And, there is no less respected owner than Snyder.
