Moss will not clear waivers; he is too good...If Seattle is in "talks" Niners, Rams, or Cards will certainly claim him to keep him from going there. Hell, I wouldn't mind if Cards found a way to get him. Dump Komar...

Apparently, he hasn't yet been waived. Childress said he would, but reports are saying there are other forces within the Vikings organization that are blocking it.

Man, Childress is as good as gone. They've completely castrated him if Moss isn't waived this week.

I think Minnesota should have got rid of the idiot coach/gm rather then Moss.. Maybe if Childress had a clue how to use to use him....

I don't know if Childress is good or not but right now his problem is that he has one player in Favre who is "too big to fail" and he doesn't want any more.

Did you see the play last night where the DB realized Moss had him beat so he hit Moss giving up the PI? the ball landed 3-4 feet from moss, he never made any effort to catch it when he was looking at it. Yes they got the PI, but all he has to do is catch the ball and it's a TD.

That's not a coach using him incorrectly, it's a player who was mad that Childress didn't kiss his butt. He made it very clear he thought they should have listened to his scouting tips on the Pats, they apparently didn't, so he didn't want to play.

He's a great player when he wants to play, but he doesn't want to play half the time.

Yep and if they don't waive him, Seattle and Miami could be in some trouble since Moss' agent said they already called.

I would think talking to his agent would be tampering?

Maybe, but I wonder if the league wouldn't turn a blind eye based on the circumstances.

Reports: Brad Childress acted alone on Moss; has "lost the locker room"

It's not a new phenomenon to hear that Vikings players aren't exactly enamored with their head coach Brad Childress. The events of Monday, after he told his team that he was going to release Randy Moss, may have been a tipping point for player unrest.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen said on SportsCenter Monday evening that Childress has "lost the locker room."

"He really has," Mortensen said. "The players are not Childress guys right now. There's a sense there, 'does this head coach really know what he's doing?' That's the truth. You talk to people in that locker room, that's what you you're gonna get from them."

You have to wonder how strongly the front office remains "Childress guys" at this point. Childress did not tell management about his plan to cut Moss, according to NFL Network's Michael Lombardi. Childress has control over the 53-man roster, but this seems like a curious, if not self-destructive, time for Childress to go rogue and make a power play.

Moss curiously hasn't been officially waived yet. Still, it's hard to imagine any scenario where Moss would return, no matter how much his new Vikings teammates and some members of the organization want Moss back. Jay Glazer of FOX reports that Moss wouldn't return at this point, even if asked.

Childress and Moss can't coexist at this point. The question is whether Childress can co-exist with the rest of his players in that locker room.

Moss' efforts yesterday were of his Raiders days (effortless), his refusal to help Vikes coaches on Patriot tendencies & then comments towards the Vikes media after the game were ridiculous.

Randy Moss is a strage dude...tempermental, selfish and a great player all in one. He plays when he wants to play, just like he said many years ago and I wouldn't have him on my team no matter what.

this implosion couldnt come at a more convenient time for us.

why? So fans can possibly still believe this team is playoff worthy. If coaches, players & fans really believe we are a playoff team IMO they are delusional & our problems will never be resolved. This team doesn't have the talent right now to be a consistant winner and the QB issues aren't the only issues.

The 3 most most important pieces of a Super Bowl Contender:
QB-terrible
OT's-less than desirable
edge pass rushers-attrocious

Coaching-the HC is now being questioned, the DC is dead man coaching
GM-average

This franchise, players & coaches needs to re-evauluate where it is this offseason and make some changes

In a van...down by the river.
I'm just glad that Seattle nor any other would-be playoff hopefull in the NFC got him.

Rams are going to roll with what they've got at WR(which isn't much at all) and stick with the good thing they've got going in the locker room.
WR will be aggressively addressed next spring.

Good call by the Rams passing on Moss.

I would have been surprised by a Rams claim. It might have helped them squeak into winning a wek division this year, but it doesn't seem like the right move for their QB development.
