Wow, this is huge for the Lakers when they'll have a front line of Odom/Gasol/Bynum.

Not good.

Let me be the first to say "why didn't Suns trade Marion and Banks for him."

Not that I mean it.

This is really bad news.

When Bynum returns, are the Lakers the favorites to win the west then?

Grizz also traded Stromile Swift to the Nets for Jason Collins.

2 Horrible trades in one day, who the heck is their GM?

Going Out:
Gasol
Swift

Coming In:
Expiring Contract
Crit
Jason Collins

Dude should get fired for that garbage. I'm pretty sure there would have been some teams in the East that would have gave an exp contract for Gasol. Friggin Ivaorni, why help the Lakers and not your former team?

Pretty much reduces Suns chances to even finish first in Pacific significantly.

ESPN has confirmed, atleast that the Lakers and Grizzlies are in the process of dealing... or dealt.

Funny, because now, I won't be surprise if Odom + Farmar + filler is traded for Kidd...

C: Bynum / Turiaf
PF: Gasol / Radmanovic
SF: Walton / Ariza
SG: Bryant / Vujacic
PG: Kidd / Fisher

Phil Jackson coaching...

Thats championship material..

meanwhile...
Lakers can withhold their playoff spot with

C: Gasol
PF: Turiaf
SF: Walton
SG: Bryant
PG: Kidd

Kerr needs to follow his instincts and not listen to D'Antoni at the moment... losing to a Parker-less Spurs (who has struggled last 10 games also), being out-run by Warriors and Hornets, being outsized by the Lakers.... NOW, even more of an issue.

Suns... record NOW looks good.. but not their chances to win it all.. which is the goal..

This makes me angry with Marion. KG/Amare would kill Bynum/Gasol. Why do teams always give the Lakers favorable trades?

At first this sounds completely nonsensical, then you realise:

If your team is one of the worst in the west, how do you make it EVEN WORSE to try and get that elusive #1 draft pick.

They are in full rebuild mode now, time for us to take a shot at mike miller.

Please don't used KG/Amare in the same sentence as teammates. It makes me want to cry.

That KG/Marion excuse is old... doesnt hold water at all.. it was "rumoured".

Besides, when the ATL pick went top 3... it became very very unlikely.

Kerr needs to beef up the PF/C positions... seriously

Amare goes down Suns have Marks and Skinner playing with Diaw and Marion upfront... its ridiculous.

Pretty much takes Suns out of the running.. and thats being optimistic... being pessimistic is saying the Suns wont make the playoffs.

Kerr doesn't really have much to work with even if he wanted to make a deal. Our own draft picks are sold and no expiring contracts. The only way to make a deal would be to use the trade exception but that would go against Sarver's MO.

I really don't see how we can compete against a Odom/Gasol/Bynum frontcourt. Marion/Amare/Diaw vs that? They're going to be so tired working for boards that they will have nothing else to give.

I'd try to get Miller ASAP... Warrick too.

Warrick and Miller should help keep the run and gun mode and add a player 6'8+

I would agree but Kerr has no wiggle room. Sarver does not want to go over the cap even if it means improving our chances to win the title.
