Rams could possibly draft a QB in the 1st round next year. They're most likely going to suck it up for the rest of the season, so this may not be so good in the long run.

From @MikeSilver: Rams have discussed signing Tim Tebow. Post to come.

@JasonLaCanfora: The Rams have no desire to bring in Tim Tebow. Are not mulling it. Jeff Fisher would not consider it.

Poor Rams.

Who is their backup? Marc Bulger?

Kellen Cleamons. It's amazing how few decent QB's there are around.

Can we officially call him a bust now? I know he has talent, but he's spent more time under his first contract on the bench than on the field.

Or at least it feels that way.

He will always get way less grief than Cam Newton.

Just saw on ESPN the names on the Rams short list: Matt Leinart, David Carr, John Skelton.

If the Rams lose out after this, maybe they go for a switch at QB?

dont listen to anything the Rams staff says about "sticking with Bradford" if they have a new option on the table at the top of the draft.

just saying, we might not necessarily need to take a QB if Bradfords available. 5th round for a former #1 pick whos still young and very good. His problem his entire career has been zero Oline. Zero WRs. He showed himself to be one of the greatest QBs in college history at OK.

Use all our picks on the Oline. we already have weapons at WR for him. Not a bad plan actually.

If anything, hold off 1 more year for Jameis Winston

And you think STL would trade him within the division? If they would be willing to do that, I would immediately not be interested (think mcnabb to skins).

Inter division trading is the most overblown thing in the NFL. Teams dont care. All they care about is if they can get something back for this body they have no desire to keep. Period.

They would be forced to move Bradford if they drafted a new QB high to avoid any controversy. Clean break and renew the franchise. If anyone, Cards included, waived a 4-5th rounder in their face, theyd jump on it in a heartbeat.

Same reason we traded Levi for a conditional 7th when we were ready to cut him. Something is better than nothing.

Should be clear I dont endorse this move Ive layed out myself. Im 100% locked in drafting a QB for ourselves this year.

However committing the draft to the Oline, and putting Bradford behind it is not bad at all. Like I said, his problem his whole career has been bad oline and no WRs. If we build up the Oline (LT 1st round, RT 2nd round, C 3rd round+ Cooper), we already have the weapons at WR. I believe hed be great here if those requirements were met

Care to point out one intra-division trade that has worked out for the acquiring team? Can't think of one off the top of my head (not that some might not exist).

No. I'm tired of this team bringing in retreads. Did you not see my list of stiffs this team has had at QB since coming to AZ? For once can this team draft a QB and actually develop him?
