McElroy, Locker, Ponder, Dalton, Stanzi and Kaepernick are the announced qbs for the Senior Bowl. Their practices start on Monday. The big 3 (Gabbert, Newton & Mallert) are juniors and therefore won't be at the Senior Bowl.

It will be interesting to watch how these seniors perform as it will impact their ratings. Mike Mayock in his most recent update says that Dalton of TCU is a real sleeper and could move up in the charts. Mayock is interested in seeing how Dalton and Locker perform this coming week. I want to see McElroy as Mitch really likes him.

Their practices will be on the NFL Network.

It will be interesting to see how healthy Ponder is. Also, this could be make it or break it for Locker to earn back a first round grade. If he struggles in practices he can kiss the first round goodbye.

I hope Ponder doesn't pull out per injury as I would love to see him compete.

I just hope these guys show up better then the East West Shrine Game QB's. All of them had at best nothing better then an average week of practices and at best horrible game. The game today was a game on how not to play QB. Devlin was the worst of them all. Felt sorry for the receivers trying to show scouts something to day because the QB's did them no favors.

Yea, I didn't like what I saw from the QB's either.I don't want any of them even as a 6th rounder. It's on to the Senior Bowl for QB help.

The interesting thing is that the qbs in the Senior Bowl most likely will not be first round picks with the exception of Locker who has slipped with a poor season. He may be a 2nd round pick.
Cards could take a top defensive player with their 5th pick and get one of these qbs in a later round.

McElroy - meh clipboard carrier
Locker - helluvan athlete
Ponder - steal of the draft?
Dalton - see Locker
Stanzi - ummmm no
Kaepernick - better athlete/qb than Newton

I am hoping they all go full out at combine and actually participate.

wally-

Ponder is steal of the draft

Unless he rockets up the charts, he could be, (maybe as low as 3rd round) if he is allowed to get healthy. I don't think his injury is structural.

I've watched every game Kapernick has played and I would love to see him in Cardinal Red. The guy is just an athlete. He would be great in the wildcat.

I really like this kid too. He would need to get much stronger and would need to tighten his delivery to play in the NFL. He has too long a windup...and, it may be possible he will pursue a baseball career as a pitcher instead...throws 90-93 mph apparently.

Screw it, start Max Hall in 2011 and set us up to take Andrew Luck... just kidding. I'd be alright with Palmer/Bulger/McNabb and pick up Locker or McElroy later in draft.
