OT: Teams should stop changing their uniforms for the worse.

The Lions had good uniforms prior, but change is necessary after going 0-16. They look fine; just a slightly different shade of blue and a different font - I'm not particularly fond of it, but hey. This a good example.

They had one of the better uniforms in the league - those black on blacks were beastly and intimidating - and they change to these bland things? Boooooooooring. These are something you can make in Madden Create-A-Uniform and I could probably make something better.

I really like the new minor changes to the lions logo and the font change. the logo change reeks of class to me, as the Cards did..with the cards uniform co;ors, I was hoping to see more black used.

Yes. To identify a team, which leads to putting it on merchandise and making money. But I hate when teams change a logo they've had since their inception just to sell more product and make more money.


And yes, I hated it when the Cardinals changed the bird (to answer your next inevitable question).

I actually like the Jags new jersey. Some may call iot bland bland, I call it simple. Too often teams try to do too much. I like the simpler unis like our old reds or the giants' blues. I love the browns uniform and the Bears have always been a favorite, too.

I know, I know. I'm old and boring and my opinion doesn't matter and how can those uniforms hold you attention in the MTv short attention-span world we live in today? I'm just of the opinion that unless the uniform is going to be a football camo design so that no one can tell who has the ball, the uni's out to be simple.

I understand what you are saying.

But in reality, money is the driving force behind everything. If money wasn't there, then they would not exist. Plus, you have to strike a balance between the die hard fan and the casual fan. The casual fan many times will pick a team because of the colors or a logo.

I have no problem with tweaks to a uniform or logo. Look at the history of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. There have been numerous changes to the logo, birds on the bat, and uniforms.

Same with the Big Red. The biggest change might be the most recent, but there have been tweaks and changes to the uniforms for years.

Love the new cardinals uni much much better than the old one and the logo is much better than before. This team is not the same ole' Cards and the logo symbolizes such doesn't look like a little wussy cardinal!

I say who cares.. I quit paying attention to uniform changes right after the Cards changed theirs.. And the Cards did a damn fine job..
