Eagles 5-7
Giants 5-7
Skins 5-7
Pokes 4-8

Yep, a 4 win team is only 1 game out of 1st place. I might still be paying for Eagles playoff tickets yet.

Cards and Panthers have double the wins as another division leader. Think about that.

There's going to be a real fight for the 5th seed. Odds are right now that the sixth seed is going to Lambeau Field in January and the 5th gets to go to whatever loser manages to win the East. Big difference there.

I had posted a reply in another thread that it was possible considering who these teams have on their remaining schedule that you have the possibility of the East winner coming into the playoffs with a 6-10 record.

They should change the formula
U Can go to playoff just if u have a winning record
Even if u are in the top of your division
U cant reward a loser

If you win your division you should go to the playoffs I just think you shouldn't get to host a game seed th playoffs based on record

I think both should apply. If you win your division, you don't get an automatic home game. But you really should be at least 8-8 to get in at all.

If you win your division you host a playoff game. You are rewarded for winning it. Rules are rules. What is funny is if the division winner finishes 6-10 or 7-9. They automatically draft #20 even though their record is worse than teams drafting ahead of them.

Doesn't anyone remember the NFC Worst from a few years ago when the 7-9 Seahawks won the division and who they bounced in the wild card round?

I agree if you win your division then you get to the playoffs. Even if you have a losing record. The fact is they get punished come draft time having to draft at #21 and if I'm not mistaken if they somehow win a playoff game they slide to #25. The Panthers lost in the divisional game so they drafted #25 even though they had a 7-8-1 record.

Here is the order last years playoff teams drafted.
21. Cincinnati Bengals
22. Pittsburgh Steelers
23. Detroit Lions
24. Arizona Cardinals
25. Carolina Panthers
26. Baltimore Ravens
27. Dallas Cowboys
28. Denver Broncos
29. Indianapolis Colts
30. Green Bay Packers
31. New Orleans Saints (from Seattle Seahawks)
32. New England Patriots

And they took the player I thought we should have taken. Shaq Thompson would look really good on our defense.

Imagine the difference in draft position in making/not making the playoffs for the NFC East.
Whoops just saw this was already discussed.
