Per ESPN sources, the Suns are trading Jusuf Nurkic and a 2026 first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets for Cody Martin, Vasilije Micic and a 2026 second-round pick.

hornets have 87,000 draft picks and we end up giving them a first

this was one of those offers - where the guy comes by the table and says "lmk if you don't get rid of nurk, i won't give you anything for him but ill kindly take him off your hands"

Do you think there's any credence to this?

But why LA? Its a bad trade but they could have done way worse if they wanted to stick it to the fans.

Lost me towards the end when he said Kyrie signed in FA to play with Luka and Klay signed because they gave him a higher chance of winning than GS. Kyrie was traded there, did re-sign but no one else was offering him the money he wanted. Klay felt disrespected by not getting a top level extension from GS so he left to Dallas for a payday.

Now I recognize those are only 2 small pieces of the whole narrative but presenting those like he did ruins his credibility.

The deal is not completely horrible really.

We are completely dumping Nurks contract for 1 year and only moving down in the draft from the 20's to the 50's.

This means Ishbia no longer thinks this team will compete and is looking to save some money - which means he has started to face reality.

Which means KD will get traded after the season when we miss the playoffs.

Barring some historic run there is no way KD is on this team next season.

I'd say this should be a reality check to those who think Ishbia will continue to spend frivolously to contend or compete. This trade signals otherwise. They have focused on financial savings over competitive roster construction.
