OT-TNF: Saints @ Cowboys

Cowboys stifling Brees so far. 13-10 Pokes in the 4th. Of course the officials completely blew a helmet to helmet hit on Dallas but it's Dallas where rules are arbitrary.

Thanks to Sean Payton's stupidity of using up both challenges in the first half he misses out on challenging an obvious knee down on 3rd down(obvious to everyone not wearing a stripped jersey). I mean, it wasn't even close but it's Dallas, so...

And now the officials missed a blatant facemask on Prescott. Man these officials are bad.

Saints shooting themselves in the foot. Had Dallas stopped again and a stupid roughing the passer penalty.

Amazing how Brees can be awful on the road. Throws a bad INT to seal the game.

Officiating was total poo on both ends. Dak almost had his helmet ripped off and it wasn't called. Gregory wasn't offsides. Beasley was gifted a spot late in the 4th, etc. Bad officiating all around.

As long as it's consistent for both sides. Kind of like an umpire calling a terrible strike zone. As long as it's terrible for both teams, then so be it.

As bad as the officiating was, bone headed plays by the players was probably more egregious. Ref's miss a facemask call on Prescott but the very next play, the Saints stick their hands in his face for a blatant roughing the passer and an easy makeup call. Cowboys stop the Saints but then rough the punter. Cowboys are in field goal range but Prescott fumbles it away. Brees throws a WTF interception.

Was a very weird game and even though I should have had more points out of my FFL kicker Maher, I liked the end result.

Dallas D is legit. Dak is serviceable as is. I think he could be significantly better with a good OC. Zeke is a brute also. But somehow, some way, they are the Cowboys, and will eventually figure a way to lose.

NO must be thin at CB otherwise I don't understand how they keep running Apple out there. He is terrible. Dallas was targeting him all night and having success.

If we're gonna get technical, even the roughing the kicker was a pretty crap call. Gregory was blocked below the waist and it screwed up his momentum on his way towards the kicker. From what I've read, blocking below the waist is illegal on punts.
