Grooooooss... can I convince you to put picture into a "spoiler" box? That is brutal.

But I'm sure he will play again, broken bones are easier to fix than torn ligaments.

That sure is disgusting though...

Very sad. Looks like the road to the NBA finals got a little easier for the Cavs.

I wish the very best for Paul George. Just tragic. I hope he can recover from this injury.

This may not be the time to talk about it but I'm glad he is under a substantial contract for five seasons.

Such a sad situation for PG. He'll play again, but I can't imagine he'll ever be the same. I hope he is able to get back.

I think you are thinking about George Hill. Paul George is a SG/SF.

Wow, that sucks! I'll trust everyone's judgment and not watch the video. I hope he can come back.

So so sad. Poor guy. It's going to be a long road back to the NBA but I sure hope he makes it.

They're saying he broke tib/fib, but no damage to ankle or knee. So, his career certainly isnt over, he could realistically play again this year. I have some unfortunate experience with broken bones, that kind of fracture should take 6-8 weeks for the bones to heal, for me it was another month before the muscles felt relatively normal... but obviously not "play in the NBA" normal.

If they put a wager out there I'd lay money on him being back before the end of Feb.

He will recover just fine. He will probably miss this entire season including the playoffs, but he should have no problem being back for the following season. Though there is certainly a chance he will be back for the playoffs (if Indy makes the playoffs).

You never want to see a guy go down like that but it is part of the game. I wonder if this will impact EB at all. Taking the qualifying offer is a huge risk. If he does and then gets hurt next year, he will never make up the money he lost. My guess is sometime in the next 30 days the Suns up the offer a couple of million to help him save face and get the deal done.

That is so sad, a brutal injury to a very talented up and coming player. I knew something was up on twitter when I started hearing from football players, reporters, and tons of people all at once. I am still optimistic that he will recover and be able to play again though. As difficult it is to watch, the recovery time is usually less than a serious knee surgery. Anderson Silva was back training only six months after his equally gruesome leg break in an MMA fight in December.

It will hurt the US team to not have him on there. It also brings up the point why teams do not want their players playing in any events outside of the NBA. It will be interesting to see if this injury comes up when the Suns negotiate with Dragic (perhaps excluding any Olympic/international play).

It's good to hear that it's "only" broken bones. Bones heal better than most things. I would guess that the main issue will be getting everything aligned just right and keeping his legs the same length, which might require some special techniques.

PG= Paul George.

What is your thinking?

Paul George is a SG/SF for the Pacers.

George Hill is a PG for the Pacers.

Rab was referring to a PG in his post so I think he was confusing the two names or players or position.

I think you have misunderstood. He said he feels sorry for PG. Meaning he feels sorry for Paul George as those are his initials.

Initials will be my downfall. Too many meanings. :)
