It's not like a new feeling for me, I just never liked the Celtics and it has grown this season as well as last. It's not because they are successful, its because it seems when NBA is mentioned anywhere, its about the Celtics. I just think Boston already had enough winning sports teams before the Celtics last year. I hate Boston sports with a passion because they play with a cocky attitude.

Anyways, I hope I am not alone. Yeah, go ahead sports analysts compare the Celtics to the Bulls than won 72 games....I am gonna enjoy it when the Celtics don't get past 65 wins and you fall on your ass.

I used to like them more before they stole the rug from under us. (grrr... marion) but like Stefan said... any Laker haters are a friend of mine.

Perhaps our Suns could develop that kind of attitude.

Since I moved from New Jersey to Phoenix 30 years ago, I have not rooted for any team from back East (even in Championship series).

But the Celtics have a storied past, which they have earned . . . thanks largely to their outstanding long-time Coach and General Manager Red Auerbach.

That deserves the respect of all NBA fans.

Now if you're talking about Boston/New York/Chicago fans, that's a different story.

when the celtics don't get past 65 wins? i wouldn't think there would be room for a suns fan to talk about the celtics. the new england area is a great sports area, so what? new york used to be the same way. so did L.A/anaheim. the reason the celtics are mentioned in nba discussions so much is because they are the most successful nba franchise ever (and they never had shaq. go figure!). what's the problem with that?

I like the Celtics when they're beating the Lakers and that's about it. Otherwise, that team talks wayyyyyy too much trash for my liking. Have some class KG and stop bending down to get in the faces of guys a foot shorter than you you punk who could never win anything as a #1 Superstar.

just keep in mind. Most of these Boston "fans" came out summer 2007...who remembers the empty arenas from 2005-2007 and the MVP chants whenever Kobe was in town.

thats the main thing i dont like about the celtics. the trash talking.
it happens around the nba all the time. but the celtics make it way too obvious on tv. and its pretty annoying when they do it against 2nd and 3rd rate players.

im a redsox fan. but not a celtics fan.

I always like to see the franchises that haven't won (except ours) stay down. I didn't want to see the Red Sox or White Sox win the World Series. I didn't want Boston to finally turn it around, especially so fast, and especially with Danny Ainge at the helm... seems to me like he just threw some pieces together and got lucky.

Regardless of what team you're talking about, skill increases the chances of being "lucky".

Especially when you're referring to the team that won it all.

Hey, wait a minute. You know that. You're just doing a job on Ainge. :D

Espn has made me dislike everything NE/NY.

Agreed 100%. Sooooo sick of the ESPN east coast bias. It's ridiculously blatant.

And any true Suns fan has to despise the Lakers (for obvious reasons) AND the Celtics. 1976 and Richie Powers, for those not familiar with Suns history.

Also, you wonder if the Suns are cursed?

The team has the fourth best all-time NBA team record among active teams, behind, you guessed it, the Lakers, Celtics and Spurs.

And no title.

Sigh....

I don't like any of the cocky teams from the east; Boston, Detroit, New York. I don't dislike them as much as I really do hate San Antonio, the Lakers, Houston and Utah though. We usually beat the east teams (cause we never reach the finals perhaps?) the few times we meet them anyhow.

:mulli:

ESPN seems amateurish to me. Loud and simplified. I'd rather watch some other sports network.
