I would like to see Allen or Redd. But I would not give up any major parts for them. I would think a future 1st, Casey, Jake or rights to Milos will do.

You're not worried about giving up too much? It's not like Allen and Redd are All-Stars or anything. Oh wait, they are. ;)

Allen is getting old, so is JK and Martin isn't all that great.... That leaves Redd which I'm not sure about either... It just goes to show you there really aren't too many superstars in this league who are young or still in their prime.... The NBA seems kind of a feast or famine league to me overall....

Allen is to old and is realy unhappy in Seatle. Redd had two good years back to back but I don't think he could beat out JJ for a starting role.

No, no, he couldn't. Actually we do have a true championship caliber team so why should we bother them with trades and FA-signings?

hopefully you're joking :) that's the problem though there are very very few championship caliber teams.... Before Detroit one it looked almost impossible to win with out a superstar and even that could be debated with that team... Ben Wallace could be looked at as a super star and Rasheed could possibly be one if he could get his head on straight...

michael redd is a young shooter. no way they trade him for that garbage. and allen's too old to help this club's future.

Earth to SweetD, come in SweetD.

If Redd replaced Johnson, the team would automatically improve by at least five wins, probably ten. Redd is a very accurate shooter who moves well without the ball and makes defense pay for losing him. The Suns have no one like that, and that is one of their big problems.

Really ok good luck making that one work. JJ is a much better defender and moves better with the ball and with out. Redd had plays ran for him. The Suns don't run plays for JJ. Redd has lost the starting job already and lost it last year that is why he is expendable.

Did you read the article? Nowhere does it say that Redd has lost his starting job. (Who's supposed to replace him, anyway?) All it says is that Seattle might be able to talk Milwaukee into trading him for Allen -- and really, only a Sonics fan would have that dream, since Redd plays for about 1/4 the price.

Maybe becouse I watch basketball all year long and not just the Suns games. Redd is a good player but Mason is who they would much rather play right now. Why would Allen want to go back to Milwaukee?

I had Bucks players on my fantasy team all year, so I watched plenty of them too. Mason can't shoot. Maybe you have some inside information saying that the Bucks are down on Redd, but if they prefer Mason to him, they're stupid.

I'm not even going to bother to look up statistics, but Michael Redd is probably the best shooter in the NBA outside of Peja.

No

44%FG 35%3s He is very good but not among the top 5.

Marion shot 44%FG 34%3s this season, granted he shot roughly 100 3-pointers less.

you know where I'm going to go here though. Michael Redd was the main man in Milwaukee's offense. If he was taking Shawn Marion's shots his numbers would have been much better. It's the same argument people use for Tracy McGrady although Michael Redd didn't gone are quite that much defensive attention. It's the same reason Paul Pierce's numbers have gone down over the last several years. Michael Redd's first two seasons he shot 44% from beyond the arc.

Those were the years that earned him his big 3-year, $9m contract, right? ;)

Redd is a very nice player, but he wouldn't start over JJ on the Suns. The Suns need somebody at SG that can distribute, and Redd isn't that guy (as shown by the Bucks' tailspin after T.J. Ford went down).

no, redd is a more classic sg. he shoots. most teams have their pg as a distributor. but there is no denying that, as currently composed, we are no classic team. we don't have a distributor at the point. if marbs were still here i'd say that redd would be a better fit than jj as he could cash in big time on the wide open looks he'd be afforded based on marbs' drives and amare's post play.

I like Redd (I'm partial to ex-Buckeyes) and I would guess JJ could be moved over to PG. But I think the Suns primary goal will be to find an experienced PG.
