NORMAN — OU football general manager Jim Nagy has added another hire to his front office staff.

The Sooners have hired Kale Pearson as their director of high school scouting, according to Pearson's LinkedIn and X accounts. Pearson has been Air Force’s general manager, director of recruiting and NFL liaison since 2022.

Pearson is a former three-time state champion quarterback at Tulsa Union, where he also won the Jim Thorpe Award as a senior. He also starred with the Falcons from 2011-14.

Pearson is a recipient of the Brian Bullard Award, the highest honor an Air Force football player can earn annually. He's also a two-time Air Force Commendation Medal recipient and the winner of the 2019-2020 Lance P. Sijan Leadership Award.

Prior to his time as a flight commander and deployment officer in the United States Air Force, Pearson worked as an operations manager for Amazon in Oklahoma City and a business development manager for ABD Companies, Inc.

Pearson joins assistant general manager Taylor Redd on Nagy's staff.
