That man could win with junk on the field. He did it again last night.

He'd look great in RED!!!!!!

How about Black. I really like those black uniforms a lot more than the red ones. How sad that I am reduced to talking about the color of our uniforms while our team has fallen down and cannot get up.

I don't know....

He did throw 11 ints in his 1st 4 games as a pro - which is a clear indicator that he was gonna suck for the rest of his career. And he wasn't THAT much better than Max.

Peyton's rookie year (1st 4 games of 1998):
146 Att 81 Comp (55%) for 992 yards with 3 TDs and 11 INTs.

Max's rookie year
75 Att 38 Comp (51%) for 360 yards with 1 TD and 5 INTs

Ha! Just kidding.... Of course I'd want #18. Everyone in their right minds SHOULD want him. I know the folks in New Orleans, New England, San Diego, and etc. think their QBs are the cats meow, but for my money Manning is the best in the business.

I can think of only 1 exception to Manning being my #1 guy......

I got suckered into watching Dancing with the Stars last night and Kurt told Emmit, "Let's get back to playing football." That is a direct quote.

Kurt > Manning, just because he already lead us to the promised land.

I gotta think Indy will lock him up. But, man, I sure as heck wouldn't mind seeing Peyton on this team.

speaking of QBs

four days ago I was figuring the Cards would have to trade up into the top 10 to get one of the three likely to be there / coming out. ( Luck, Locker and Mallet)

Now -- I am fearing that they might be there all on their own.

So now the question is: which one would be the best fit?

Luck looks the most ready. I suspect he goes #1.

Mallet I watched play against Bama, and he would look awesome for stretches -- and then bam: headscratching int.

Locker scares me. Guys that mobile take some time to be good passers -- although the last Huskie Qb that mobile turned out okay: Mark Brunnel.

I love Luck. Some QB needy team is going to get a great one at the top of the draft.

Mallet, I'm lukewarm on. I very much doubt he turns into a great pro.

Locker, I was fairly high on coming into the season. However, from what I've seen, he's maybe regressed a little from last year. He sure as hell hasn't progressed any. If you don't have the accuracy that's a plus, you're going to struggle in the NFL. Period. I don't think he's up to scratch in that department.

More likely to pay for this QB. Might be better than what we have.

One guy who is having a very nice year that is on the FA list for 2011 QB's is Kyle Orton. Did Denver lock him up long term? He would be a vast improvement over what we have and maybe he finally gets it. It's not like he has great WR's over there. I would'nt mind him but I think all signs are lining up for McNabb to be the QB next year, which I would hate. He's better than what we have but I still think he's not that good.

I think he got a one-year contract extension at the end of summer.

To make sure his leadership would not come into question as the season went along, Orton was rewarded Thursday with a one-year, $8.8 million contract extension through the 2011 season, according to an NFL source.

Our future QB is aready playing for the Cardinals.

Andrew Luck

It's the Stanford Cardinal not Cardinals, but yeah nothing would make me happier.

Problem is we may already have too many wins to get the first pick and we're going to win more games.

I actually think the best case scenario for Luck is Buffalo gets the first pick, he pulls an Elway and tells them I don't want to play for you, and they package a deal to trade the pick. I think this year that's the only way the Cards would have a chance at that pick.

But I still think Luck is staying in school.
