So we are chugging along now - getting close to a full launch as soon as all the broken *$(*$ gets fixed. In the meantime, if you are looking to book a tee time at a cheap rate, please check out our site. If you are using Golf Now, or another site using golf now, well...we are the same thing. :) In fact, your login and password for teetime booking would not change if you've already booked on golf now or somewhere else. It doesn't cost you anything more, but it does help us out.

Our true, full launch is weeks away now. I've said that for awhile, I know...but it is. Kinda sorta really now!

And if you want to talk golf, check out the forums. It is dead, but there are some good threads in there thanks to some good peeps from in here. :) It's cake to register, too, just use Facebook Connect and you're in. The Facebook button is in the top right of the page.

I'll keep updating this thread for the two of you who care. :D :iwin:

Thanks to all those at ASFN that helped in many ways (content, advice, laughs, support and encouragment) along the way as we've been working on our golf site. Well, finally we have it live and working, at least the Deals side of it. The news and reviews portion is up and running, but buggy and a good two weeks from working smoothly.

But today is the official launch of the company, as Par Stars opened the day featuring a golf deal at The Duke at Rancho El Dorado. 2 rounds of golf, cart, 125 practice balls and the 2011 Gold Card for $59. That's 71% off, and the Gold Card (sells for $120 by itself) gives huge discounts at 4 courses all year long, gets you entered in two tournaments for free, and gives you savings at other courses like We-Ko-Pa, Sedona Golf Resort, Sanctuary and Eagle Mountain.

You can check it out at www.deals.parstars.com. You might also hear our ads on KTAR 620 too over the next few weeks.

Please, pass this along to your friends who golf and if you think the deal is good (*cough* Father's day *cough*) then buying it yourself is also much appreciated.

Thanks again to those who have helped out to get us to this point. Please tell your friends about www.deals.parstars.com.

Congrats Donald. I don't golf often, but when I do, I will look at your site for deals.

I use TeeTimesForeLess.com.

They don't charge the booking fees that most sites do.

I use TeeTimesForeLess.com.

They don't charge the booking fees that most sites do.

They are a GolfSwitch affiliate - the fee is built in so you don't see it - in that setup its passed on to the golf course. GolfNow is the other primary booking company.

You'll find some courses on one, others on the other. But pretty much anywhere you go it will be one of the two. They also have different prices sometime on the same courses, and the same or different inventory.

For example, if you look at Eagle Mountain on teetimesforeless, at 1:30 tomorrow you see 3 tee times for $90 between then and two PM, then after two pm you see times for $57. If you look at our GolfNow window (link) you'll see between 1 and 2 the times are around $69-$57, and then after that they are $40.

Now, that's in no way to disparage the site you use, or GolfSwitch. In fact, we will probably roll GSwitch in with our offering too in the future and there are probably lots of clubs they have cheaper tee times for than GolfNow (and us by extention) - we aren't always the cheapest..but neither are they. I posted this just to let you know that it's still in your best interest to shop around a bit, and a to put in a request for when you do that you include www.parstars.com in the mix. But by all means, book it where it is cheapest for you!

:)

Does this mean that if I post on your message boards somebody might actually respond? :D

Seriously, I use Golfnow all the time. Can I access Texas tee times through Par Stars?

Yeah! Your username and password for Golfnow will work too when you book. We are exactly the same as them. Though I note they have Amarillo/Lubbock and we don't - I need to yell at them a bit.

Quick link to Tejas:

(pretty soon people will respond...we don't get a ton of traffic yet, but it's all organic search engine stuff...actually your thread about golf cap sweat and mulli's thread about hydration get hits! Once the $%a^^#^& course pages and review pages are fixed, we'll start marketing and doing PR and bringing more traffic.)

Sadly I used to use Golf Now as much in Arizona as I did Texas. Loved to play Foothills for $20. One of the more underrated courses in PHX. I don't care what Travelin' Joe says.

Here's AZ: http://www.parstars.com/Golf-Courses/Arizona-Tee-Times.aspx

Here's links to other states: http://www.parstars.com/Cheap-Tee-Times.aspx

We actually have ALL the states listed on there, but I haven't yet made the quick links to them yet so they aren't hyperlinked. But once you select any region, you can find all the other regions in the golfnow dropdown box.
