Our new starting QB will be Drew Stanton (I think, my opinion, not fact, just a guess

It's a no brainier.

If you think Arians didn't speak with Stanton to gauge his interest in joining the Cardinals when he becomes a FA, think again.

Stanton will be ours in 2013. A young QB will be drafted this year or next and groomed for the future.

"I think" is another way of saying "I don't know, but, WTF here it goes anyway". ;)

Stanton should have stayed with the Yankees. Much better baseball player than footballer.

If he's our starting QB (which he won't be, mind you), then we might as well start looking to 2014's QB class for the first overall pick.

Yeah....Stanton was the 3rd string QB for Indy behind a rookie QB who was noted more for running in college than passing.

I liked Stanton at MSU. He was accurate but streaky. I don't remember him being that much of a running threat but I could be wrong about that. He may be a stop gap solution at best.

If he was so good why did the Jets trade him? We all know about their QB woes.

I think the key requirements for a Cardinal QB are:

1. Accuracy.
2. Made of steel.
3. Faster than a speeding bullet...

Henson was drafted by the Cowboys. :correctionfail:

Drew Stanton is garbage. He can come in and be Brian St. Pierre, but this is a guy who couldn't beat Shaun Hill out of a roster spot.

Starting Drew Stanton to begin the 2013 Arizona Cardinals football season would be a strong inducement to me not watching a lot of Arizona Cardinals football this fall.

Based on my opinion (look at the thread title Jeff).

He's a decent QB and would be an upgrade to our current situation. Did anyone see the 2nd part (of my opinion, LOL) that we would also draft a QB this year or next and groom him for the future???

95% of the people on this board have a giant stick firmly lodged up their ass. Why is everyone so friggin uptight? Good lord. Message board folk probably have no friends in real life, they are way too confrontational.

I have a feeling Stanton will be here as well.

Whether or not he would be the starter is not known. But I too have felt we would get Stanton and draft a QB. With the odds are Stanton would get the nod as we let a 2nd-3rd round pick develops.

We'll see though. Just a guess. Seems to me Arians will try to bring someone he's familiar with in to compete for the job, and Stanton seems like the logical choice.

Usually, opinions are based on something - they don't come out of a vacuum. (a rumor, a report from a questionable source, logic borne out of past coach-player relationships - something)! I was merely asking how you came to that conclusion.
