What would you think of Richie Incognito at right guard? Cheap, a local guy and nasty as hell. He might bully Cooper into showing up.

I think the fact that someone else took a chance on him and he stayed out of trouble makes it at least a possibility for teams to consider him but I know some guys that know him and he is still a little loco.A year ago I'd have said "hell no", but he had a great year last year and seems to have matured. I think he merits a look. The line needs to get fixed and he'd fill a position of need. I don't want to have to count on Cooper suddenly waking up and becoming starting material.
You can bring him in if you have leadership that doesn't tolerate the crap he pulled in Miami. I believe we have that leadership in Palmer, Iupati, and Fitz, but if you sign him, you are saying goodbye to Cooper. I don't know how competitive Cooper is, but I know Richie is highly competitive.
For me it comes down to cost. If the price is good, he brings needed toughness to our offensive line.

Has he ever played right guard?
With the Rams?
At 32 years old? And with some baggage, I think a fairly moderate contract would do it.Someone will pay him a ton of money. I'd take the talent. This starts to get into the conversation of character. It's a slippery slope with an NFL roster.
