I personally dont see Jerry Rice's records ever being broken. Jerry Rice is and always will be head and shoulders above Moss not only as a player but as a person!
A 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for a guy that is no doubt talented but is also a malcontent? and is in what his 6th or 7th year in the league? NO WAY!
No one's talking about the person - and I'm sure everyone forgot all about how much of a baby Jerry Rice was early in his career - even after the Super Bowl in 1988 when he bitched and complained AFTER WINNING that he should be getting all the attention - not Montana. And you think Jerry didn't come back EARLY, on purpose the on Monday night from his ACL injury the night Montana's Jersey was being retired? Jerry was incredible and one of the best ever - if not the best ever - but I do think it's possible that Moss will breaks a lot of his records.
Besides - the guy is going to be 26 - and NEVER showed any of the extreme forms of maclontent when he was with Green than he has since Green left. Personally - I don't care what you think about Moss the person - the player is an absolute freak and will be for at least another 8 years - we'd be crazy not to give up that much to get him - after all - what are we gonna miss out in the second and thrid round - a couple of guys who will make no impact like the last ten years?
You put him and Quan together on the field on offense - with Shipp and a decent O-line and we would score 30 points a game - wouldn't that be nice.
